I saw the worst example of this fraud on “The Mentalist.” My wife likes to watch “The Amazing Race,” so a week or so ago we turned it on CBS shortly before TAR began and saw the last five minutes of The Mentalist. It showed the male protagonist (don’t know his name) cowering on the floor being kicked and beaten by some female as he shivered in terror. I’m sure that happens in real life. (smirk)
Reminds me of the story about why Germany did NOT invade Switzerland, because all the Swiss were armed by law, all had battle rifles and ammo, the German asks what the Swiss would do if 5 million Nazis invaded, the Swiss says, “We will all fire 5 shots each and go home”.
The military may not want women on the front line but a state or continental militia won’t hesitate to take up arms to repel threats from within the country.
Personally I think its just a propaganda maneuver to discredit the possibility of millions of armed women fighting against a communist regime in America.
So he was a male “damsel in distress” who I’m guessing was later rescued by the show’s heroine, am I right? Hollyweird just keeps making it easier and easier for me to not spend time watching their current films and tv programs.
Nah, he was apparently entering some sick female’s dwelling to help her, and she mistook his wanting to help her for some other screwy reason. But the script had to be written by some metrosexual male or some wacko rad-feminist who who think ideology and wishful thinking trump reality. No man is going to cower and cringe on the floor while some female is kicking and beating him. Unless he’s getting paid to do it, or he’s letting his dominatrix do her thing.
Interesting fact, thanks.
A few years back there was a big ultra team marathon called “the eco challenge.” They had TV shows about it, etc. Teams of about a half dozen each would do a long race involving many sports, over about a week or so. The teams had to be coed. Hygiene etc becomes and issue, because it is constant running and getting wet an filthy for a week with minimal rest. The teams had to be co-ed, I forget if each team needed one girl or what. But the winning teams created a tactic of simply CARRYING the lighter female over all of the things she could not do as fast as the men. They would take turns piggy-backing her when she couldn’t keep up, or physically boosting her over everything.
The eco-challenge had to outlaw that trick. It sure didn’t look good for the ladies, to have their teams win by carrying them.
Imagine combat, carrying 100 lbs up the mountain just to get to the battle!
Who will carry the ladies?
IIRC, that fighting really did happen--but it was a male Soldier who did it.
“Not in combat at 30,000 feet going one on one with a target.”
When combat means pushing a button and sending a missile 12 miles to do the killing for you, then yes, a woman can do the job well enough. Unless there is a disaster on the flight line, and she needs to carry someone away from danger, or she is in a TACP and things turn sour.
If you don’t understand the difference between flying during air supremacy and ground combat, then you shouldn’t post your ignorance on a thread about ground combat...
BTW - I’ve got about 2500 hrs of fighter time, including combat. I respect flying fighters, but a couple of tours working with the Army helped me to understand that flying off of a 12,000 foot runway isn’t the same thing as being in a foxhole.
” BTW, 125 women serving in Vietnam were killed. It doesnt matter if youre up front or behind the lines.”
You don’t win a war by dying for your country...
snicker ...
Don’t miss.
$#!^ gets real right about at the “How...”.
Posturing and pontificating means you’re not gonna.
The Israeli SDF women are security on buses etc. Not for COMBAT...
It was a fun post to him, not you.
Women in combat is ridiculous.
Define combat.
There are other people in the room too. You want to keep it private, take it PM.
And the overall point remains: “I’m tough” posturing doesn’t win fights, destroying the opposition’s will/ability first does.
Just answering. If they want to keep it private they can PM me. I’m done.
“Any workplace I have been, it ends up that the guys do the heavy lifting.”

Yep.
Yep, my late father could still shoot the eyes out of a squirrel at 75 or older but he couldn’t do all those other things he used to do at 25.
