Governor Walker is right. Gotta choose your own battles.

Why yes, we mustn’t have protests. Why, if they feel that strongly about it we better give in to them!

WI’s problem is the mess in their state senate, the infamous fleebaggers scenario.

They simply don’t have the numbers unlike Michigan’s overwhelming, veto-proof GOP senate 26-12.

Besides, Walker already ripped apart collective bargaining which is a whole lot more damaging to the union’s power than a simple RTW.

Six months ago, WI was ground zero in the fight.

They need a rest. I do not begrudge Walker some breathing room.

Time for other GOP Govs to step up and do their part.

That’s OK. He successfully defended a major beachhead in Wisconsin. Sit tight and let businesses take advantage, show some growth. Let the spotlight move elsewhere for a moment. Get reelected, then move on RTW.

Walker stopped short of saying he would veto a right-to-work bill should it pass.

He wouldn't. If RTW happens in Wisconsin, it will happen Michigan-style: A bill rushed through the State legislature, giving the Liberals and unions no time to stop it.

Governor Walker would have been stupid if he announced that he supported RTW. Better to let his enemies think they have him scared.

Walker said that introducing a right-to-work bill could lead to massive protests...who is it that keeps yapping about some behaviors not being "the American way"? - oh yeah, President Obama.....

LOL!
With last year’s legislation, Wisconsin doesn’t need any “right to work” law.

What he already achieved was extraordinary and he expended a lot of political capital to do it. I don’t fault him for not waging this battle at this time.

Besides he probably could not get it passed through his current Senate - a 1 vote majority including a Senator who voted against the first round of legislation.

I’m seriously confused. After Walker fought his battle to deny certain bargaining tools to save the budget, I now just find out WI is still a not a right to work state unless you join the union?

So what was the point of that battle if you’re going to surrender the war?

Republicans control both Senate/House in Wisconsin. Perhaps they could (in secret) formulate legislation and suddenly ram it through both Houses and put it on Gov. Walker's desk before unions have time to cause massive protests. Just a thought. Gotta a keep the ball rolling...We got the big mo.

Do it like Michigan did. Not sure if Wisconsin has the "5 day rule" like Michigan? If not? Git 'er done!
