I just read the thread about the murder in Beaver Falls! OMG!
“It’s hard. She has a 23-month-old baby that’s left with nothing,”
Also my ten dollar plastic don't care if it gets destroyed train.
I bought a couple of sets at Rite aid a couple of years ago. Last night I bought another . Ten bucks and there is a lot more track than you see under our tree.
Then there's a pic of the kind of stuff I used to spend weeks making in my shop and giving to neighborhood kids. This is pretty much all I have left. There's a train, a puppy, a balancing parrot and a jewelry box tree. I also made cars, boomerangs and other stuff.
It's in front of our Dollar Store Cobblestone Corner layout with a trolley.
Don't have everything together yet. Maybe this weekend if I get time.

I have relatives in Beaver Falls. My dad’s sister and her kids. Haven’t seen them in years. Odd bunch!

I’m not very ‘crafty’, but Mr S and I enjoy trying, when we have the time. Maybe we’ll get back into that kind of stuff once the year is out. This past year has been an eventful one for us!
Maybe I’ll post a pic of our faux tree and faux fireplace with the faux evergreen garland on the bannister on the stairs!

Forgot to mention...the 3.6 ton, 40 foot tall Gavle Christmas Goat was burned overnight. It’s so sad and on St Lucia Day. There is so much evil in the world. Why would anyone destroy something that brings happiness and the Christmas Spirit to so many?
How long will it be before someone starts burning Christmas trees and other Christmas symbols here?

Yes, Christmas and Christianity in general are under attack. The war against Christmas continues every year. OTOH, I note more and more homes in our area with nativity scenes. In fact, I tried to find one in Lowes and Walmart and neither store had them. I’m looking online for something affordable. If we don’t get one this year, we’ll have one on the lawn for Christmas next year.
And, yest, that’s very very sad about the Gavle Christmas Goat. The evil in the world is indeed growing.

Yup..heard that too. Yesterday a woman on KDKA TV morning news....Jennifer Ankoviak I think....was talking about Jerome Bettis buying a company and called him “the new ogre” instead of owner. It was funny but she’s been around enough to not have made that mistake.

Did you hear about the people who were taken to the hospital for marijuana smoke after the Wiz Khalifa concert last night?
I had not even heard of Wiz Khalifa until yesterday was proclaimed as “his day.” I was unaware of his marijuana advocacy, and thought the “Dope” hat was merely a self-descriptor.
However, after hearing about the people who were hospitalized for marijuana inhalation after his concert last evening, I think the “Dope” hat should be worn by the idiot in the City Council who thought it was a good idea to name a day after him.

I like the displays...the bunny suit = Ralphie:). You need a Leg Lamp to accompany it (bits that’s just me!). PaDad has become a Dollar Tree regular. We didnt set up our train (needs transformer repair—so next year!) but he has put up his village (from $Tree). When he found their 3 packs of pine trees you would have thought he discovered penicillin.
I’m off today and am wrapping boxes for our front stoop. I have three bigger boxes and im going to wrap them and stack them up...ok. How easy would that be? Well, oddly as I am the ONLY person (only female living here too!) who takes care of the trash. And beside the kitchen trashcan I had stacked a few empty milk jugs (to fill w/water and place in my wrapped boxes)....BUT somebody decided to toss out my recycled (free!) ballast...and now I have to go out and forage for rocks! The next time anyone takes any interest the trash around here is when i REPEAT this next Christmas (like I always do). Sigh.
And the woman who was involved in the Victory Mosque is “Daisy.”

Morning! I never heard of the guy either until this morning! I haven’t watched any news shows - too depressing. Sounds like everyone had a “high” old time!

Ooops...I meant to respond to you (I did to sneakers instead!) love the displays—and, IMO you need a Leg Lamp near the Bunny suit :)
The leg lamp is on a table on my side of the bed. Mrs p6 got it for me years ago. ;)
