Just looking at the kid gives me the creeps. I guess androgynous men appeal to immature teen girls. He certainly does not give the appearance of being threatening. I haven’t heard his singing, nor will I.
However, this sort of a response is kind of frightening. Put together with the kid who shot up the Portland mall and other signs of cultural decay, role models are degenerate certainly and no longer American. To quote Mark Twain, “They are French”.
He's the teeny-bopper pop idol equivalent of a Precious Moments figurine. There's just something about the "look" that really grates on people. Especially because there's the sense that there's no escape from the cutsie, precious little dweeb.
