How come no threats from the Russians this time? They have ALWAYS opposed defensive missile batteries in Turkey... What the hell is going on?

At this point Russia seems to have read the tea leaves, and accepts that the Syrian leadership is about to fall.

That’s actually a good thing. The last thing we needed was Russian involvement there.

Now the only question is, how will the rebel takeover affect the situation in Southern Lebanon?

Why would there be threats from the Russians? Patriots have been deployed to Turkey before. They are purely a defensive missile. NATO deployed Patriots in Turkey during 1991 and 2003 for the Iraqi conflicts. Before Patriot the Turks had their own Nike-Hercules and also the US deployed batteries. Nothing new in deploying such defensive batteries.
