Most of the “scientists” minds are probably primitive sims run on a 6502.

There are some ideas so absurd . . .
Like how time is relative, space can be curved, and pretty much everything about quantum mechanics, all of which are now both experimentally proven, and have practical applications?
How much of that will be valid if the universe turns out to be a "computer simulation?"
Oh well. If the world is "experimentally proven" to be a computer simulation, at least we can all stop worrying about everything, since nothing will be "real" anyway.

Parasites, actually.

Considering the headline is wrong (nobody is testing anything, a couple of scientists have just written journal articles suggesting HOW you would test the hypothesis), and these scientists are always writing and publishing papers, and it’s all theoretical work, essentially taxpayers aren’t being “soaked” at all.

So, liberals are now trying to prove Intelligent Design!

I can understand this from a theoretical psychics/holographic universe point of view. Everything is NRG.
Like NRG attracts and opposite NRG repels in the spiritual world or ethos. (This explains syncronicaties quite well, or those thing considered miracles). Together, a matrix of opposites is created, and there's a constant struggle for balance.
From a quantum point of view, consciousness affects matter. Matter "pops" into existence via consciousness.. If the big bang were fact (and I'm not arguing it right now), what consciousness was there or behind it to start it all in the first place?
Anyway, I'd like to know what they come up with.

If this is true, then God is the Programmer, IMHO.

So, liberals are now trying to prove Intelligent Design! They are trying to discover the truth. Do you still think they are liberal?

I have an alternative theory.
The earth is a chessboard and the two chess players are God and Satan. I believe this is the second game in their best of 7 series. The first game ended in a draw and that was the ice age that killed everything.
Gods first move in game 2 was Adam and Eve. God’s last move was the Berlin Wall coming down and the fall of the Soviet Empire.
I believe that Satan’s latest move was the Arab Spring. So now we are waiting on God to make his next move? It could happen tomorrow or 200 years from now.
If this was a game (No, I do not live in Colorado or Washington) what do you think God’s next move is?

I wonder if the programmers wrote into the program that scientists in 2012 would try to determine that they were just part of a computer program. And I wonder if these scientists will figure out that their experiments are predetermined by the computer program, and that their findings were predetermined as well.

If we are nothing but a computer program, how can we be "alive?" It would mean we don't really exist.E=MC2. Our bodies are energy. NRG is either a particle or a wave. It depends on who the observer is - which would be you are the other "NRG's" around you.
(See Schroeder's Cat. The cat is dead, alive, or nonexistent until the cat is observed by someone.)
