The city of St. Petersburg, FL recently released statistics showing that red light cameras actually INCREASE accidents at intersections.
They won’t pay any attention to this, I’m sure. Why would they?
It's not about safety or the law, it's all about revenue!
Going after criminals is dangerous business, fat lady cops can get hurt.
Better to catch your mom going 28 in a 25 and cash in!

it's all about revenue! Not so much true here in FL. According to St. Pete city council, they paid $900,000 for the system and only made $600,000 in the first year. They missed revenue expectations by quite a large margin.
