Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta said the United States does have plans to draw down its military personnel from Afghanistan by the end of 2014, but that the United States is “not departing Afghanistan.”

“Well, first and foremost, we’re not departing Afghanistan. We are going to maintain an enduring presence in Afghanistan beyond 2014,” Panetta said at a Wednesday press conference alongside Afghan President Hamid Karzai in Kabul, Afghanistan. …

Then let our troops fight instead of being politically-correct targets for the Taliban to shoot at! (But no, that won’t ever happen, even though this is the so-called “war of necessity” even with bin Laden gone.)

“Panetta: “We’re Not Departing Afghanistan””

Which means we are. Just a question of when.

Panetta will defend our troops like he did the
Ambassador. NOT AT ALL.

“enduring force”? More like an enduring target practice for the Afghans to kill us. Fodder for our government to sacrifice at will.

There is NO reason to stay there two more years.

The House needs to defund the war effort there, and bring our troops home.

Whether now, or two years from now, the Taliban will be in control within a fortnight of when we leave.

I am tired of our troops being killed, blown to bits, and shot by those they are trying to help.

Blow it up, declare we won, and get the hell out. Now.

That’s exactly what the liberals want, aside from the blowing it up bit. Running away from the Taliban will work out as badly for the USA’s image as running away from the Viet Cong.

This “war” was lost years ago.

I don’t care about image. If we cared about image, there would be a smoking hole in the ground in Mecca since Sept. 12, 2001.

Our troops are caught in a political war which is unwinnable, especially with their suicidal rules of engagement.

Iraq and Afghanistan have cost us over a trillion dollars with NO return on investment. They will both become part of the Caliphate, which this President of ours desires more than our own safety and welfare.

If we fight we should fight to win, not to worry about image.

“We’re Not Departing Afghanistan.”

That's not what the Kenyan Negroid says.

Can’t say you lost if you never fought, can you? Absolutely right about the so-called rules of engagement.

An “enduring presence.” This sounds like the 100 years McCain promised us in Iraq, which resulted in his trashing.

So why doesn’t anyone trash this washed up, brain dead ancient senile hack when he says it?
