Fox News commentator Steven Crowder has filed a complaint with the Michigan State Police in relation to an assault he sustained by a pro-union protester while attending a demonstration outside Michigan’s state capitol on December, 11. The protesters were demonstrating against the state legislature’s efforts to pass right to work laws in the heavily unionized state. Crowder joined the protests in support of those controversial laws.
The Washington Post’s Erik Wemple spoke with Richard Hale, the shift supervisor at the Lansing post of the Michigan State Police, who confirmed that Crowder has begun the process of filing a criminal complaint:
“By calling in, he’s in essence filed a complaint. He’s initiated the process for the filing of a criminal complaint,” Hale told Wemple.
Since the incident, Crowder says that he has legitimate fears for his safety as he is receiving disturbing threats on a regular basis.
Crowder recently tweeted that he has engaged the services of a former police officer to provide protective services for his wife. “Right now I have a former police officer, heavily armed at my house protecting my wife,” Crowder wrote. “The threats are severe. Prayers appreciated.”

Then he would have been arrested and would find himself in the same position as Mr. Zimmerman does in Florida.
Have a feeling that the Fox news reorter suggested a MMA fight because he knows how to fight. If so, the reporter played this way better than simply kicking the Union thugs ass. He can now help send the jerk to jail and/or kaching off a civil suit.
And Crowder also should see the guy for civil damages . . . and add the President as a defendant for inciting and encouraging the violence with a history of his idiotic statements like his supporters should get in the faces of opponents.

Punching a reporter is stupid. People need to think before picking fights with people who buy ink by the barrel.
Punching a reporter who knows Modern Martial Arts, and then threatening his wife, is really, really, really stupid.
Punching a FOX News contributor while the assaulter wore his name on the jacket and someone nearby had a camera rolling is beyond stupid.
I think Obamacare needs to start paying for brain transplants. Looks like some Obamabots are in bad needs of better brains.

Being that this incident was on video the police could have and should have acted as the complainant.
Even if he only winds up with probation he should still be prosecuted but if in fact he's a union official it seems to me it would lay the union open to civil suit.
Looks to me like the guy hitting him probably worked at the Twinkie factory, now closed.

Here in DC, three cops witnessed Congressman Jim Moran's (D) son beat up his girlfriend, but the judge was persuaded that the only two people who knew what really happened were the girl and her abusive, thug boyfriend. Case dismissed!

As for the thugs stalking him and his family, I suggest bait and shoot.
Like Hells’s Angels, all union thugs should wear their Union’s gang colors jackets with their name embroidered on them when committing property crimes and assaults for easy identification.

I wonder. Crowder said later he was staring into a crazed mob he was afraid would tear him apart had he taken a shot at his attacker. He's trained in martial arts and appears able to handle himself against a single thug but not a mob.
Crowder later said he'd take his his attacker on in a fair one-on-one fight or would file charges -- the attacker's choice. Apparently the union trash prefers to take his chances with the law.
