You are different and you are special. Beethoven, Mozart, Michelangelo, Thomas Edison and Mark Twain possibly had Asperger Syndrome. So had my intellectual ancestor, Charles Darwin. Woody Allen and Bill Gates probably have it. So did Michael Jackson, a source of great inspiration to me and others. Call it genetic, call it developmental, it does not matter. Many proud Aspies and I stand with you.

One major aspect of several types of mental illness is the inability of the person affected to feel empathy. At the same time, religions and political ideologies promote the lack of empathy for perceived enemies. Hmmmmm
WHAT? Jackson might be said to be a 'great entertainer' but I can not even begin to imagine what he could ever 'inspire' anyone over.
Someone must have some very low aspirations in life if a screwed up unit like Jackson could have inspired them.
Inspired them to do what? Moon Dance? Spend millions on bad plastic surgens? Sleep with little boys?
I don't get it. I had nothing but sympathy for Jackson who grew up a totally disfunctional family and life. But inspiration? Please.
Propaganda. I know someone personally who has a now adult child with this. Some who have it are very dangerous.
Aspergers and violence go together in many cases. I know A guy with a kid that has it. He says the kid gets violent when he does not get his way, and that he gets worse as he ages.
“Kids (and adults) with Aspergers are prone to frustration, anger – and sometimes violence. The rapidity and intensity of anger, often in response to a relatively trivial event, can be extreme. When feeling angry, the child with Aspergers does not appear to be able to pause and think of alternative strategies to resolve the situation. There is often an instantaneous physical response without careful thought. When the anger is intense, the youngster with Aspergers may be in a blind rage and unable to see the signals indicating that it would be appropriate to stop.”
