News Corp. chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch expressed support for an automatic weapons ban tonight following today's shooting in Newtown, Conn.
"Terrible news today. When will politicians find courage to ban automatic weapons?," Murdoch wrote on Twitter.
Murdoch made a similar call following the theater shooting in Aurora, Colo., in July: "We have to do something about gun controls. Police license okay for hunting rifle or pistol for anyone without crim or pscho record. No more," he tweeted.
News Corp. owns Fox News, where contributors have been objecting to calls for gun control throughout the day.
“Someone at the school buzzed in a maniac, armed with two handguns, and carrying a rifle.”
I’m not sure he was buzzed in and here’s why. On Greta’s show, the tape was played of the police radio band. This was from the beginning of this. At one point, a cop says the glass in front of the school was out. That makes me think he may have blasted the glass and stepped through the opening and he was in.
That’s interesting. And that’s what I get for believing what I hear on the “news”.

ABC News reports it was two pistols and a semi-automatic rifle belonging to his mother, who he had already murdered. There was apparently no automatic weapons.
The news report also seems to indicate the shooter could have been taken down by an armed teacher before the shooter could have reached most of the children, but were instead killed because they were unarmed.
Faux News has jumped on the bandwagon although I felt years ago that they were already on the bandwagon. Today I saw a short ‘holiday greeting’ on Faux that said, “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas”.

Obviously, Rupert doesn’t know that automatic weapons were NOT used in the Aurora and Sandyhook deaths.
I really wish these liberal twits would just go away. That includes fools like McCarthy, Cuomo, Bloomberg, Obama, etc.
They will never go away, UNTIL we make this a civil rights issues, just like the minorities, gays, abortion rights people and all the rest of the other “civil rights” groups do.

Everytime one of these tragedies occurs ghouls like Murdock and Bloomberg come slithering out of the woodwork to advance a personal agenda.
The Second Amendment protects a basic human right- the right to self defense. And as long as people have any rights at all Lunatics like Lanza will abuse them. And if we allow our rights to be abridged or restricted in any way when lunatics abuse them we can be sure we will soon have none left at all

You can put a silencer on a gun.

If anything needs to be done, it is that we should improve our mental health care system. Hopefully, we can do a better job of identifying these ill people before they go off the reservation.
