Bloomberg: Obama Must Take 'Immediate Action' Against Guns
Breitbart ^ | 12/14/12 | Ben Shapiro

Posted on 12/15/2012 5:41:48 AM PST by crosshairs

Today, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, an ardent gun control advocate, moved to politicize the monstrous school shooting in Connecticut, issuing the following statement: With all the carnage from gun violence in our country, it’s still almost impossible to believe that a mass shooting in a kindergarten class could happen. It has come to that.

Not even kindergarteners learning their A,B,Cs are safe. We heard after Columbine that it was too soon to talk about gun laws. We heard it after Virginia Tech. After Tucson and Aurora and Oak Creek. And now we are hearing it again. For every day we wait, 34 more people are murdered with guns. Today, many of them were five-year olds. President Obama rightly sent his heartfelt condolences to the families in Newtown. But the country needs him to send a bill to Congress to fix this problem. Calling for ‘meaningful action’ is not enough. We need immediate action. We have heard all the rhetoric before. What we have not seen is leadership – not from the White House and not from Congress. That must end today. This is a national tragedy and it demands a national response. My deepest sympathies are with the families of all those affected, and my determination to stop this madness is stronger than ever. If Bloomberg’s deepest sympathies were with the family, he wouldn’t use this as an opportunity to get on his soapbox about gun control. We don’t know all the facts of the case yet, Connecticut has some of the most restrictive gun control laws in the country, and it seems that the shooter obtained his guns legally.

Punish the innocent uninvolved, as usual.

Yes, Nanny Bloomberg must lead by example and immediately end all police and private protection for himself and his family. Until he does that, he can stick it.

I’ve got the solution. Take some of Archie Bunker’s advice and apply it universally. Regarding the airline hijacking problems back in the 70’s Archie had this to say:

“All you gotta do is arm all your passengers,” he offered. “And then your airlines, they wouldn’t have to search the passengers on the ground no more, they just pass out the pistols at the beginning of the trip, and they just pick them up at the end! Case closed.”

Everybody laughed at this but is rings true to me. It is proven that more guns stop crime.

yes. only police and military should be armed. “When Seconds Count, the Police are ONLY Minutes Away. The police are great at handling PRESS CONFERENCES and Investigations, AFTER THE CRIME

Somebody must take immediate action against the free-roaming mentally ill - such as the lunatic who pushed a man to his death under the subway train last week in Bloomberg’s New York.

It’s amazing how potential dictators will demand action by their favorite potential-full-blown dictator.

It seems that the three branches of government no longer exist. Only the will of the benevolent, loving,
Progressive “leader” in the White House will govern efffectively and make us all safe from those crazy,
gun-toting, moronic, knuckle-dragging, idiotic
Christians.

Just saying.

IMHO

It is appalling that our government, local, state and Federal, mandate that our children be educated and provide schooling for that purpose but does nothing to ensure the safety for those compelled to participate. Gun control has nothing to do with the tragedies we have seen recently in our schools. It is people control. Our government can spend money on treadmills for shrimp and a bloated, over funded, arguably feckless TSA who “protect” volunteer travelers but does nothing to enhance the security in schools where the attendees are required to be. What politician is going to step up and demand that a properly trained, ARMED, security force be mandated for every school. We need to protect the most valuable asset in America - our children.

President Obama rightly sent his heartfelt condolences

0bammy's crocodile tears for the cameras would have more credence if he didn't openly advocate the killing of the unborn and newly born.

Bloomberg: Obama Must Take 'Immediate Action' Against Guns

Hey Bloomie! The Second Amendment GUARANTEES the right to own a gun. If you or any of your lib buddies, including the muzzie usurper in the white hut, don't like it, there are processes in place to amend the Constitution and change this. Otherwise STFU!

Yes, in addition to arming Alkida and Mexican drug cartels, Obama should arm the union thug teachers so they can shoot back.

What if “Guns” decide to fight back?

What we need “immediate action” against are these free-range nutjobs who should be institutionalized as threats to themselves and the general public.

Yes, police and swat needs to be disarmed. Think of all the trauma the children went through as the military dressed cops with their assault weapons caused when they arrived after the shooter killed himself. In fact I think that out of the last 15 shootings, the perps killed themselves in at least 12 of these crimes. So the heavily armed ninja dressed cops have a very low average of stopping shooters.

And let us not forget that these mass shootings all seem to take place in gun free zones. I'll not get started on that.

Are you insane? You REALLY want an excuse for them to put the TSA at every school?

I remember this great episode! It was a parody of NYC Channel 5’s five minute “common man” rebuttal to some news item. Archie goes on tv and advocates everyone be armed on planes to stop hijacking.

Since 9/11, I’ve always thought about that episode.
