it will later be revealed that the shooter was a aspiring Rap singer working on his GED. He was a good father to his 5 kids by three women.

Anyone who has watched The First 48 will recognize Caroline Mason, the officer pictured. That was my favorite show when I still had tv. It’s so sad to hear of a LEO killed in the line of duty.
May she RIP. Call it chauvinistic, but this officer is a victim of political correctness run amok. Women should not be in the front lines of battle either here or abroad.

I don’t want to jump to conclusions, but this sounds like one of those early morning SWAT raids, only this time when the charged the house the perps were waiting.
Changes need to be made and that’s a fact. Stop these stupid raids and find another way to take down drug dealers, like catching them when they come out of the house.
If it was a SWAT raid why was a woman with 4 kids doing on the SWAT team.

We had an electric reliability meeting in Memphis this year. One attendee got mugged walking back to the hotel. The group QUICKLY decided not to meet in Memphis again.

If you know some of the gangsta rap music (for which Memphis is known), going down in a hail of bullets, or being on death row are common themes. These are considered heroic outcomes in their violence-saturated fantasy worlds.
One of my best friends (who died young from cancer) was from Memphis. It was a hell hole when I traveled to her parent’s hospital during her death process and then again to her parent’s house for the funeral.
Sad. They owned a lot of commercial real estate that was wrecked by the ghetto of liberalism at that time.
Black criminal violence is no longer a “fantasy world.” It is now known as “black culture.” Ask Jamie Foxx. He does not live there because he’s a big fat limo-liberal, but he is a smash mouth racialist who makes movies on the hate and failure of the Black thug whore culture; glorfying it.

Memphis politics, they don’t want whites on the police force, and it is hard for a white officer to make rank, even when they score higher on blind test. Yes it was an early morning raid.
Women wanted ALL equal rights, so this is part of the package. Just like it now is in the Military. Don’t holler foul when you asked to be totally equal to a man. And there is truly no difference between either sex when they hold the same job any more.
Doesn’t make it any less hurtful, painful etc. And my heart bleeds for her family. I know what they are going through, 23 years hasn’t erased the pain of my innocent slow developing son’s murder. Now his killer walks the streets of TN a free man. Lousy 20 year plea bargain and I had to fight for ever day of the time he served, and it wasn’t 20 years.
NO ADULT criminal record, want to bet a dime he had a large juvy record? They wipe that out once they turn 19.
They all wear vest, apparently the thugs had Armor Piercing Bullets. But vest only cover so much of the body, they don’t protect neck, head, etc. One nicked main artery and you bleed to death. Head shot and you are gone.
Just like the special ones in my carry gun, so it won’t go through a person and into another or through a wall. Yes I carry, this is MEMPHIS after all, cesspit of the state. Nashville is not far behind. And the preps are moving out into the surrounding counties fast.
We have a Commander friend on the MPD so we learn things most don’t.
