Well there’s some good news. The only question is, are peoples attitudes changing due to an increasing need for personal defense, or a corresponding mistrust of government?

When, pray, did the nation’s civil rights become a topic for popularity contests?

When the statists in the MSM began believing they had the power to manipulate public perceptions by manufacturing news.
I'm just thankful for the trend in attitudes.

There is one very large obstacle in the way of "tightening" gun laws - the RINOS running the House. There is no way even the RINOs would have the stomach for this - BUT you can count on one thing over and over and over during the next 48 months the nation's clown is in the WH...........
Count on more shredding and more irrelevance of the Congress, particularly the House. The Senate is where all things not liked by the Marxist in the WH will die and disappear. Depend on Harry and Barry to find many many more loopholes like they did on Obamacare and recess appointments. The GOP? They are still hiding under their desks.

Funny that support for "gun control" (People control, actually) was highest under "Poppy" Bush, then began to crater after the Soviet state broke up.
Even Clinton's mini-initiative of the week, perpetual-campaign politics couldn't stop the slide in support for his kind of gun politics.
Guess it's like rainwater that becomes groundwater: It gradually soaks into the People's awareness, that Government is full of people who want to rule, and with no backtalk.

I went to a gun store this afternoon to buy some hollow points and was told several AR and AK had been purchased just today.
