Correct. I think that people, as a whole, are always looking to fix everything which includes trying to find root causes and calling for the bans of certain things which may have no impact when it comes to things like this. Unfortunately no matter how much we fix something, no matter how much we plan things or manage things, there will always be one crack through which somebody would fall through. I call that the one crack rule. Another poster mentioned that this guy dying has made the situation worse as we are now blaming each other for the problems of this one murderer. That is how I took the Columbine massacre. When the two murderers were dead, that led the way to blame everything but those two.
Really, usually the most recent reactions to anything are the most emotional and irrational. That’s why I am not frequently posting comments on this matter. Embarrassments serve no use for anyone.
Honestly I blame Mark David Chapman for the assassination of John Lennon not the Catcher In The Rye. I blame John Hinckley for the assassination attempt on former President Ronald Reagan, not the movie Taxi Driver. I really liked that book, and I really liked that movie but, beyond my opinion on those two, to pin your bloodlust on a work of art makes me very angry.
I will say that I wouldn’t mind if we find out about if this guy was on any medication in the first place, maybe a discussion on whether we should get security people to guard the entrances of such places. All I know is that people usually play video games to burn some steam or to escape from the harm that they feel life has placed on them just like movies were made to do. The only thing we can do is help those who are suffering.
I don’t think that this case is linked to marijuana or drugs. I think that the kid had Graves disease. Look at the bulgy eyes in the picture that Drudge has.
There's no doubt that something was wrong with this kid. Something upstairs. No theory is out of bounds right now, but the facts are still trickling out. We'll find out soon enough.
Don’t watch movies, read books or listen to music either. /sarc
