I would speculate from a probabilistic perspective that it is too coincidental that this should occur right during examination. The high degree of coincidence points to the improbability of truth.....
makes me think of the OJ lines, and as you start multiplying the improbabilities, you start approaching 100% assurity of the truth. Each event by itself, might have been questionable... but when you link all the improbabilities you get closer to his 100% guilt.
