President Barack Obama will travel to Newtown, Conn., on Sunday to meet with families of those killed in the shooting rampage at Sandy Hook Elementary School and thank emergency workers who responded to the tragedy, the White House said Saturday.
"The President will also speak at an interfaith vigil for families of the victims as well as families" at 7 p.m., press secretary Jay Carney said in a statement.
On Friday, an emotional Obama vowed to "take meaningful action, regardless of the politics," to prevent future tragedies like the shooting massacre, which killed 26 people at the school, 20 of them children.

Every now and then he makes a Presidential move. I can’t believe this is his idea.
I won’t watch it. Sorry but he is not worthy of my time. I know liberals felt the same way when President Bush went to New York after 9/11 but this is different. Obama seems so fake. President Bush seemed genuine. I know that we should not be political and act like the DUers did to President Bush but I can’t help myself...lol.

Exactly my first thought. As if this town and families, and its law enforcement, didn't have enough to deal with, the boy prince has to insert himself into the mix. He makes me more sick to my stomach every day.
I must have Missed it ,what were the Comments about the Hate and Violence from his Friends at the SEIU in Michigan earlier this week,or the Democrat who said there would be Blood, about a Right to work Law,or the Thousands of AK 47s that His ATF allowed to Flow into Mexico which ended up Killing hundreds of Mexican Men Women and Children.
Oh Yeah and there is the Comment about A civil War from the Leader of The presidents allies in The UNIONS.

He is going to milk every drop he can out of it. His propganda machine is about to attack gun owners with the same ferocity that the NAZIs attacked Jews in Germany. Sometime within three to six months from now, obama will “bow” to “public pressure” and demand that Congress pass strict gun control or confinskation law[s].And like a good slave, Congress will obey.
My in laws live in a retirement community condo six miles from the school - they voted for Obama and no doubt will be pleased with the attention resulting from the shenanigans and posturing by Obama. They raised their children in a different town about 1/2 hour away in Westchester so aren’t directly affected - although two of my husband’s sisters live in the general area, none in that school district.
Obama is a massive hypocrite because his daughters are protected by armed security while they’re at school and he wants the rest of us to send our children to schools where the children are sitting ducks while he continues to try to disarm the responsible “good” guys who could have shot this psycho in the ten minutes before the police arrived.
Obama makes me sick!!

This not a "Presidential" move.This is clear for many reason one of which is...in the typical weekend in Chicago 15 to 20 people (some children) are gunned down in the streets by gang bangers,street thugs,etc.When did Osama Obama last visit Chicago for anything but a fundraiser?

Let us compare how GWB might have done this, aka how he met with 9/11 families in NY. It was in private, we didn’t hear about the details until much later. GWB had no Church speeches or fan-fare. Let us see if BHO tries to pull a Bill Clinton and be healer in chief. While POTUS presence for tragedies is now a common event for the office and person, it is the how I am concerned with, will he be going their with a warm heart like GWB did or may I ask what is inside his heart. He is such an odd duck at times, it is hard to read him, other than his political tendencies...
This will be his big intro to a comprehensive weapons ban. It will be hailed as a “common sense approach” to gun control. Then the seas will recede, the unicorns will prance, and the people will feast upon the skittles, lambs and sloths and carp and anchovies and orangutans and breakfast cereals, and fruit bats and large chu...[on with it, brother!]

They are pro-union living in RI with the highest unemployment in the country..
