I would dare to say Chinese steel or aluminum, well hell any of their metals are so far below industry standards they are not much better than bamboo.

Never in my whole life have I ever seen superior Chines steel.

And like most Chines products it will work for only a short time, designed to fail premature to ensure customer purchasing in a repetitive fashion.

Building a race car and need 4130 for the roll cage? The smart suppliers are giving you the option of German, US, or Chinese lots. I am with you, I don't trust their crap as far as I can throw it, I want to see the "Certs" and IMHO the Chinese Certs are probably worthless...

if i had to guess, i'd say the steel used in their military equipment is higher quality than what they export simply because they won't get SHOT for exporting inferior steel or anything else where it is a distinct possibility if they sell same to their military...
