The shape and details of Boehner’s offer were uncertain Saturday night, as was the exact reason the president was prepared to reject it.

So Obama is not sure why he wants to reject it - he just wants to reject it.

Will Boehner get with the program that the President has no intention of "working with him" on this and stop watering things down? Probably not.

And the media narrative will still be that the Republicans won't work with Obama while he and Reid are trying to bend over backwards to "get something done."
