Let me answer the guy’s question. Sometimes bad or demented people do bad things. It happens and it will continue to happen from time to time.
This guy is quite ignorant. The second amendment doesn’t “grant” the right to anything. It affirms a citizens natural right to defend himself from the evils OF government.
Ping.
Let Israel disarm her citizens and then we can see how it turns out first, okay?
Yep, that’s why we see settlers in the disputed territories carrying.
Yes, they can carry a weapon after applying for a permit, undergoing a background check and extensive training and then demonstrating a need to have one. Same for Israeli security guards, jewelry store owners and competitive shooters. And the weapon you see them carrying? That's the only one they're allowed to possess. If you think Israel is a RKBA utopia, you'd be mistaken. Firearms ownership in Israel, while legal, is highly regulated. Look up the laws if you don't believe me.
I worked with a fella from Israel for a few weeks on some networking projects. He was in the IDF and also worked in private security as a body guard.
We spoke of guns and rockets and all the muzzie issues. Just don't remember getting a sense that weapon ownership was highly regulated.
We do. In Israel, military service is compulsory and while serving, soldiers are required to carry their weapons almost everywhere. That's why we see so many images of Israeli girls at the beach in bikinis slinging M-16s. Once they leave the service, however, they've got to turn 'em in. Retired military and LE personal who attained a certain rank may apply for a permit to own a handgun.
In Israel, firearm ownership is a privilege, not a right.
Yea...that!
By the way, chicks with buns...I mean guns, slung over their buns is, well, pretty attractive.
Maybe that makes me weird, I dunno. lol
