The way anti-gunners have handled of the Connecticut shooting has been one of the most disturbing things ever. Within hours of the tragedy they turned it into what they hope is their opportunity to finally pass another gun control law.
The tweets of Michael Moore, the press releases of Mayors Bloomberg, Menino, and public statements of Democrat Reps bear witness to this.
But perverted attempt to make gains from the Connecticut shooting became even more pronounced when Westboro Baptist Church announced they will picket the funerals of those killed on Friday. Why? -- because doing so gives them the opportunity "to praise God for the glory of his work in executing his judgment."
Like the leftists who are shameless in their attempts to use the suffering of the shooting to further their ideological agenda, the folks at Westboro Baptist have found the spotlight once again. And this time, their 15 mins of fame will give them the opportunity to mock the families who lost members at the hands of an absolute mad man on Friday.

They are. They're using a form of entrapment to generate lawsuits against individuals for assault, and against LEO departments for failing to protect them.
Maybe a mob of justifiably outraged rednecks should descend opon them, extract their pound of flesh, and then the WBC should be arrested and charged with inciting a riot.

The PGR came here to my WV town for the Sago Miner's Memorial. The WBC presence seemed more than enough reason at thew time.

Funny. The Phelpses backed Al Gore when he ran; posed for photos (he and his wife) with Gore and had a fund raiser for them. Odd way for a “Christian extremist, anti-abortion, anti-gay” bunch to act. Back politicians that support these very causes! - They’re setting up ANY Christian group to be lumped in with them and punished “just because”. Who is bankrolling them? Just as the Occupy bunch and Code Pink, Westboro’s serving a leftist purpose. - Crazy? Maybe like foxes.
They have a mission statement. The PGR is not a counter-
protest group.
If you go to their website, they already have stated that they will not be able to participate.
It’s likely some of the miners were veterans.
These people are FAKE “Christians” whose only purpose is to make Christians look bad. The MSM plays along.
I was the person who successfully petitioned the PGR to come.....and am gratreful they did. There was NO military involvement at all. I also realize that as a strictly voluntary group, their time and resources are finite.
However, they travel in white, windowed vans and will usually take an Interstate or other such route to get as close as possible before using local roads.........just sayin’
Ticket them for going 55.2 mph in a 55 mph zone. Maybe a broken taillight will appear. It’s time for some state troopers to get a little creative.
Maybe throw a little baggie of weed in one of the vans, and the drug dog just happens to be present. Yeah, that’s the ticket!
Since the funerals will likely take place over several days, they may need a place to stay (motel, etc) as they did when they “visited” my town.......again, just sayin’
Okay, showing up to protest a military funeral half a mile outside one of the main gates to Fort Knox, in a town whose population is 80% military, retired, or former...not smart. Things quickly got so heated that the Radcliff PD had to escort them out of town before things got out of control.
I was part of the group that stood vigil at the cemetery in case they tried to come back and had a chance to talk with a couple of Patriot Guard riders and they told me that they'd been at the first funeral the Wackos had tried to protest in Kentucky (somewhere down around Corbin) and darned if every single one of them didn't slip and fall on the ice.
Maybe we should tell the SEIU they are going to CT to picket Right to Work.
I live less than a mile from their compound and I’m just waiting to hear a loud “boom” one of these days. The whole bunch are cut from the same cloth as Marshall Applewhite and his minions. I see them all the time along Gage Blvd. here in Topeka.
It seems that at one of the funerals up here, the “uninvited guests” were spotted out on the pike by a group of truckers, and got boxed-in.
For some reason, they were late.

PS-You don’t see Fred out at these events much anymore, they seem to be led by his crazy daughter, the one who sent a twitter or facebook post blathering on about Steve Jobs’ death. She sent it on an Iphone.
