You have a loner, who is into Goth which promotes death and torture among other very dark topics, a single parent, and more than likely on psychotropic drugs prescribed by a psychiatrist and there is your recipe for this disaster.
Go back and look at some of the school shooting in the past. The perpetrators were on prescription medicine.
Instead of banning guns we need to ban the over prescribing of drugs to our youth. Also if your going to be a parent accept the job of raising your children properly.
That just makes too much common sense, like teachers or Admin at publik skools being armed, to ever be accepted by Pols, MSM or bamaClaus voters.
The dems and their willing MSM are playing this as an opportunity to go after guns. Everyone needs to remember they concern is not the poor little kids, its about CONTROL and liberal/progressive control can not be had while a lot of the citizens are armed.
Lock up the criminally insane. If they are not going to be held legally accountable for their actions when they flip out (i.e., stop PASSING for normal because of medication), they need to have a legal guardian watching over them at all times (leg monitoring bracelet and the whole nine yards).
Soooo, should there be drug recall or even a prescription stoppage? Or are pharmaceuticals covered by ALL side effects revealed, including suicidal and violence tendencies? Pharmaceutical’s are covered, its called “statement of limitations”.
The drugs is only a symptom of a larger problem. Why are they prescribing such medication, and why to so many younger children? What has changed? Environmental? Drugs?
White kids do mass school shootings and black kids kill each other with guns in the streets? Simplistic answer?
I’m Goth, as a teen, in my 20s and now into my married 30s.
There are many things that promote death and torture. And many people will take any kind of hobby or style and take it to extremes.
Are there Goth-styled kids and adults who promote death ? Sure. But that’s not Goth.
My interaction with the concept of death is respect and reverence for life. And that’s a core value of those who interact with it. Dark topics to be thought of and worked out, head-on.
I have interacted with car guys, bikers, even model train builders with some macabre outlooks on things. I only ask those I can ask, to not call this guy Goth, or implicate Goth culture as reason d’etre in events such as this.
We don’t have all the facts but it could be the opposite. The guy may not have been doing what the doctor recommended including taking prescribed meds.
Sadly, I think psychotropic drugs are a common denominator.

I believe all of the 'school killers' were on antidepressants. I doubt our culture is advanced enough to be mucking with brain chemistry... especially of the young.
Lanza may have been undermedicated or off his medz. It might be that he should have been institutionalized.
