A local TV news mentioned there was a call to the rectory during the noon mass. I watched their live feed and saw a line of state police, heavily armed, with riot shields, go towards the church.

Just now those police are walking away from the church, so it seems close to being resolved, whatever happened.

S.W.A.T. team just left the area.

My guess? A prank bomb threat.

There is a paranoia mindset which happens after mass shootings due in part to a possible copycat killer.

Well, maybe not. SWAT vehicle parked in parking lot, two state troopers putting on heavy vests and helmets. They look more like soliders than police.

the hoax caller was probably jointly hired by ABC/CBS/CNN/MSNBC/NBC/NPR - gotta keep the story out there ya know; at least until all the mental defects are out on the street and all the guns of responsible citizens have been collected

My guess? A prank bomb threat.

They should have known it was a prank because everyone knows killers only use guns.

These people have been through enough that they don’t need a low-life dirtbag calling in bomb threats.

Ugly business. My mother remarried and lived in Newtown for many years. When she died a couple of years ago, she was buried there in the town cemetery, next to her second husband.

Her funeral Mass was in Ridgefield, but it was the pastor of St. Rose of Lima church who presided at the grave site.

These pranks are really sick. And, as we’ve seen, there can be a fine line between pranks and the real thing, whenever these sickos go over the line.

We need bomb control! Ban bombs now! Get the bombs off our streets! Oh wait a minute...they are banned, and we saw how well that policy works in Oklahoma City. To this day I look askance at beat up delivery trucks being driven by iffy looking individuals. I predict the next big thing for these psychos will be bombings, because it will be hard to make more of a psychological/media impact with a shooting than the Newton event. And we know this is about media attention and acting out sick fantasies of the violent media these kids are fed from an early age. It’s gonna happen again one of these days, especially now that people are more alert to long guns in inappropriate locations. At least I hope people will join me in being alert for and committing to jumping anyone who walks into an inappropriate setting openly carrying a long arm. It’s common sense. There’s no reason for a rifle to be inside any business other than one that sells or repairs them—certainly not uncased! And with the death of high school marksmanship programs, there’s no reason for one to be inside a school. So if you see someone apparently looking to do bad things, you might want to just subdue them and worry about the lawsuits later.

And think the liberals’ hatred of Christians, God, goodness, morality and whites has produced enough victims now.

Jamie Foxx, et.al. you are the stinking puss of humanity.
