Did he know what had alreay happened? For him too say he didn't do it is interesting.
Wonder if they asked him "well, you didn't do what?"
If he was hiding in the woods, was it possible he didn't know what happened, but why would he say "I didn't do it" is just weird...

But it is strange, there have been other incident where early on we see other people (example 2 guys in brown truck after Murray building bombing & second guy Padilla lookalike) near an attack, then don’t hear squat about it.
We don’t even hear the authorities say “we took x number of people in for questioning and let em go (or all except one) because they weren’t involved”
Maybe he was a “handler” or an informant.... the authorities rarely prosecute their own...
