Has life in America gone insane?
CNN ^ | Sun December 16, 2012

(CNN) -- Taking attendance.

That is the phrase used by the parent of a Sandy Hook Elementary School student, describing to a reporter what went on in the firehouse near the school as terrified mothers and fathers arrived in the minutes and hours after the shootings.

The mothers and fathers looked anxiously for children who had lived through the shootings and had been brought into the firehouse. The surviving children and their parents found each other.

But the other parents waited and waited. Their sons and daughters did not appear.

And as the mothers and fathers who had been reunited with their children left the firehouse to go to their homes, a list began to be compiled. On it were the names of the boys and girls who were not accounted for.

Without the Judeo-Christian concept of God that our Founders wrought, there's no where else to go but insane.
And the rest of the world will quickly follow.

It is a big help to look at the “big picture”.

America has about 313 million people. The vast majority of these people lead ordinary lives, even though, according to the Standard Distribution Curve, half of them have “below average” mental health.

Of the total, about 5%, again according to the SDC, are completely insane. Many are institutionalized in prisons and other institutions. Many have yet to be diagnosed as insane.

But one thing is for certain, the tiny minority that make the news get an enormous amount of news about them. And this creates the illusion that there is a lot of this going on.

There isn’t. And this is reassuring.

Does this killing in CT really matter to the vast majority of other Americans? Not really, unless politicians decide to exploit it for their own agendas.

In 1993, Dr. William Bennett published his Index of Leading Cultural Indicators - a compilation of how the moral, social and behavioral conditions of modern American society had changed since 1963 (when America began to push God out of schools and society). At the time, the following were noted:

- Violent crime had increased over 500 percent.
- Illegitimate births had increased 400 percent.
- Divorces had increased 400 percent.
- Children living in single-parent homes had increased 300 percent.
- Child abuse had increased 340 percent since 1976.
- Teenage suicide had increased 200 percent.
- S.A.T. scores had dropped almost 80 points.

It would be appalling to see how much further we have slid down the slippery slope today.

I blame liberals and conservatives - liberals for pushing their ideology on America, conservatives for letting them.

Look up on youtube 9/11 shaking. US is going thru what post King Solomon Israel went thru after she forsaken God’s laws and mores. Our nation is mocking God badly. Behavior of GOP and Dems are equally atrocious. During Clinton admin, sodomy was introduced into gov policy, during GWB admin DOMA was pursued after severe pressure from conservatives, RINO were hesitant and wary. Even some conservative GOP did not mind having gay staff members. Black Americans opposed gay marriage but flipped to support it after Obama said it was OK. War on Christmas, war on crosses, Bibles, etc etc etc. God personality is described in the Old Testament of the Bible. God will not be mocked and he will take the US (whom the founding fathers proclaimed to be based on Christian values) and give it a shaking every 7 years to wake up the people. If the people fail as each shaking gets severe, God will let this nation be destroyed as Israel was taken into captivity by the Assyrian/Babylonians. Since 9/11/2001 (first shaking) we experienced another shaking in 2008 (implosion of Wall Street). As far as I can see, this nation has not returned to God, so we will be due for another shaking in 2015.

CBS, I believe, is reporting that Lanza started college when he was 16. The Unabomber also started college when he was 16. Bright young men, and their families, think that because they have the knowledge to start college young, they also have the emotional maturity to attend college. Might not be true.

this horrendous shooting was an aberration....it was a freak happening.....with 300,000,000 people in our country, we are going to have nuts and dolts....

its the daily killings that show our country is insane...the knock out games....the killing for fun...the attacks on whites...the raping of little children...

the list goes on...

the pure shallowness of our sex oriented, sport oriented, hollowood and celebrity oriented culture....

this 20 something generation as a whole, not individually, have no common sense, no critical thinking abilities, despite how many meaningless degrees they get, are moral/value LESS, even as some of them try to live decently, they as a group endorse abortion and homosexual marriage like it was a some big social justice....

my boomer generation is bad in its own way...

people will make a big show of how bad they feel about the school killings but it will NOT make one differance in their measley little shallow pop culture lives because they don't see the connection between godlessness and insanity...

seen this quote several times
.

Add: the union thug Threatening Gov. Snyder in Michigan, we will follow your daughters to the soccer games.

How many words have to change in this statement before there is a member of law enforcement on the doorstep asking questions?

Looks doggone close to a threat of bodily harm....IMHO.

Those who study mass shootings say they are not becoming more common.

“There is no pattern, there is no increase,” says criminologist James Allen Fox of Boston’s Northeastern University, who has been studying the subject since the 1980s, spurred by a rash of mass shootings in post offices.

The random mass shootings that get the most media attention are the rarest, Fox says. Most people who die of bullet wounds knew the identity of their killer.

So sad. Heroin was a big drug in the 80’s when I worked at the ER in downtown Detroit. You knew a clean shipment had come in because of the amount of OD’s coming in. They finally had to put a security guard at front door so people didn’t die out on the sidewalk. Their friends would just pull up and dump them out the door and take off.

Now that you don’t have to shoot up it is making a comeback everywhere. Creeping in here in Kansas. Alway in the upper middle class districts first so they can make quick bank. Kids today mix all their drugs to get a better high. They are suicidal and don’t even realize it.

Yes, and we have a “leader” that says things like “they bring a knife, I will bring a gun” We have a “leader” that honors rappers that sing about shooting cops, honored at WH parties. We have a “leader” that pits the rich against the poor, blacks against whites. We have a “ leader” with union thugs follow his lead saying things like “there will be blood” because right to work was passed and that nasty union leader that said the really bad and threatening remarks about theTea Parry. The list goes on and on. We have black congressmen threatening people etc. Which party is this? Pitiful

Well said. An older gentleman from North Carolina told me that bringing a gun to school WAS REQUIRED when he was a boy, because PE included shooting. Not a single bad thing happened, ever.

Of course, those were better times, with better people...
