“You never want a serious crisis to go to waste,” said President Obama’s former consigliere Rahm Emanuel, who is now the mayor of the strictly gun-controlled gun murder capital of the world, Chicago. So naturally the statist anti-gun utopians see opportunity in Friday’s Newtown school massacre to push the total gun ban they’ve been lusting after for so long.
Rather than pause long enough to grieve with the rest of us over the horrific murders of twenty children and six adults at a Connecticut elementary school; rather than wait for the media frenzy to subside so all the facts could be known; rather than honor the victims’ families and friends by refusing to politicize the nightmare, all the usual 2nd Amendment-hating suspects wasted no time pushing their agenda in the ghoulish media and accusing gun proponents of having blood on their collective hands.
Democratic Senators Dianne Feinstein, Dick Durbin, and Richard Blumenthal, among others, vowed to introduce gun-ban legislation immediately. New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a man who never saw a human behavior he didn’t want the state to control, said in true totalitarian fashion that Obama has “to tell this country what to do.” Speaking of totalitarians, the Communist Chinese, who always have America’s best interests at heart, are now siding with the gun-ban fascists and urging Obama to “make preparation for a protracted war” to make it happen. Quelle surprise.
When Democratic Representative Jerrold Nadler from New York was asked on MSNBC’s The Ed Show whether the Newtown shooting could be the turning point in the gun control debate, he replied, “I think we will be there if the president exploits it, and otherwise we’ll go on to ”

(CHICAGO) — What can we now expect Mayor Emanuel to propose in Springfield in the way of gun control?
The last innovation from the mayor on handgun control was to make you pay a $65 title fee to the state like you pay to register your car with the state.
Earlier this year, Emanuel argued this would help law enforcement trace the illegal guns that come into the city because he said most of those guns come from Illinois, but from outside the city of Chicago, “You have guns from the suburbs flooding our neighborhoods. Our cops are doing a tremendous job. Now you gotta toughen gun laws, not loosen ‘em.”
Emanuel tried and failed to get the legislature to approve handgun titling this year, but he may try again after Newtown.

Rahm Emanuel’s idea of ‘sensible’ gun laws is ‘no guns, no carry’

Here's the deal: If gun control becomes law, organized crime will take over gun sales nationally - JUST LIKE THEY'VE DONE IN CHICAGO.
Liberals know how to treat their 'friends'... giving criminals a billion dollar industry will create many favors owed..

In 1993, the Federal Law Gun-Free Schools Act of 1993 (HR.987 of the 103 Congress) was introduced by Rep. George Miller (still seated for CA) and stated that:
To amend the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 to require each State, as a condition of receiving Federal assistance under such Act, to implement a gun control program in its schools, and to establish a program of grants to local educational agencies for purposes of purchasing crime prevention equipment and training security personnel.
As with all things in Congress, the last part was promptly dissolved into nothingness as proven by the the actions or Mr. Lanza. And the law basically created a hunting preserve for the criminally insane when the states promptly followed suit and enacted their local versions of Gun Free Schools.
So the reason why your kids might be right now in a building which will provide no protections in case of a deranged killer is the “Honorable” George Miller.

I find it somehow a strange and coincidence that all of these nuts who go on a mass shooting rampage, no matter how insane they might be never seem to mount an assault against a police station, a sheriff’s department, a gun club or a shooting range. Isn’t it truly strange that they all seem to gravitate toward gun free zones? Schools, malls, movie theaters, college campuses?
Why isn’t someone ever crazy enough to directly toward comparable fire power?
I always viewed this statue as an indication that even pistols may be used in an AntiAircraft capacity.
Oh yeah! That gangbanger who buys or is given a gun out of a car's trunk in a back alley is going to rush to the nearest gun registration office to register their new Glock and pay the $65 just so they will be legal when they do their next drive by shooting. Ha!
Hey Laz, interesting thought. Now you’ve got me thinking and I’m thinking it would be a hastily fabricated IED, but what a waste of a revolver.
