Following the horrific act of violence that occurred in Newtown, Conn. on Friday, some anti-gun advocates are calling for NRA president David Keene and all other members of the NRA to be shot. To be clear, these people are calling for violence to solve what they think is the cause of many acts of violence — guns.

On the 21st century grand battleground of ideas, social media, the NRA raised a white flag, turned tail and ran.
Sometimes it makes more sense to support the moderately pro gun Democrat who is inevitably going to win than the extremely pro-gun Republican that is inevitably going to lose. Backing a loser doesn’t do you any good really. Backing the winner ties the winner to your cause.

sometimes you just have to work with the clay in front of you. You wish you had better clay to work with but it is what it is so you do the best you can with it until you can get some new clay. It isn’t our choice. It isn’t our fault. it just is what it is. It’s something we have to deal with. Attacking us for it is...counter productive.

The clay analogy is a poor one. As you have to assume you have but one lump of clay.
In elections you have 435 lumps of clay in the house and 33 in the senate and every 4 years 1 lump in the white house. Lots of choices of clay to invest your time and money in.
Those kinds of posts should be forwarded to the FBI for analysis. I’m not big on calling the cops at all but death threats are an exception. Or should I say ‘death threats are exceptional?’
And I am not attacking you. I said you should file suit. I simply said I would but I chose to drop my support of the NRA because I don’t agree with the people they support.

Wonder when the loonie left is going to hold the ACLU responsible for suing to close mental institutions and putting unstable people into the general population? When are the loonies going to hold school officials responsible for failure to protect children with adequate, secure facilities (steel doors, not glass ones) and less big, picture windows on the outside and in hallways making it easy to shoot students through the glass?
When are the loonies going to help us change laws to get mentally ill people institutionalized to protect the public and the mentally ill? Go ahead, start trying to take the guns. Go ahead, do it! Don't just talk, get after it. It will take years. The honest, law-abiding people will turn theirs in, but criminals and those with ulterior motives will not. You will have more and more senseless killings in the meantime. How are you going to explain THAT to the nation and the world? Gun are VERY illegal in Mexico and the general population does not have them. However, the criminals have plenty and ammunition for them (thanks in part to our own Federal government).
When are the loonies going to advocate severe punishment for all kinds of crimes, not just gun-related ones? Seems like all the loonies want to do is punish people who have been trying to live righteously and make them the scapegoats for all of the problems the loonies have caused with their policies. Go ahead, force it all on us. Maybe if you bring enough evil on this nation, God will finally act. He's been real patient and quiet for some time. I tend to be in favor of letting the loonie left have every thing they want and just suffering to see if God is going to do anything about it. If He's not going to do anything, then why keep resisting the evil? Just let 'em get after it....
