DENVER - Colorado set a single-day record for gun background check requests the day after the Connecticut mass shootings.
Colorado Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Susan Medina said there were more than 4,200 requests to buy guns in Colorado on Saturday. Those gun-purchase requests surpassed the previous record -- 4,028 background checks processed on Black Friday this year.

Get’em while you still can.(?)
Although the family owns (among others)an M1 carbine (new) but we’re also thinking of getting a Ruger Ranch rifle.
The last few days make me think that .50 BMGs should be on the immediately acquire list.
Don’t think too long, SkyDancer.
Many were heard to mumble, Dude, this is SO Bogus...
Actually we’re going on Wednesday. If it’s there, we’ll get it. BTW, they also have M16 looking guns too. I love our Wally’s.
I'd strongly consider getting a couple/few.
Your $$$$ will never be worth more than they are today.
If you don’t already have one get one! If you have one or two buy all the ammo you can afford! It will be worth more than its weight in gold soon!
I wonder how many millions of rounds of ammo were purchased this weekend?
Our local Walmart had full shelves of ammo on Friday...today nearly bare, except for shotgun shells.
LOL, totally rare.
Heavy overtime into the indefinite future.
Thankee :)
tried???
They’re already Illegal in CA.
There was no record of anyone committing a Crime using one mind you, but they do look scary to Libtards.
I hate Liberals and I hate the Politicians they support, nothing but Useful Idiots Voting for Useless Idiots.
I bought a Sig Sauer M400 today. Its my first AR platform rifle
Yesterday, I drove for 3 hours to get to the nearest Cabela’s to buy a new shotgun. I had wanted to do this for quite some time, but something else always came up so I held off.
Obama and the rest of the dipsticks motivated me to get off the dime and get it before I longer could or the price trippled or worse.
Once at the store, I had to take a number and wait for 2 hours to get waited on. It took nearly an hour to get through the process and check stand.
Fortunately, I had called the day before and placed the gun I wanted on hold. There were 8 folks helping at the gun counter and they were running ragged. They told me that the day before had been even busier than “Black Friday”.
It was quite amazing to see so many folks buying guns all at the same time.
This was in Washington State.
I also bought 2 cases of shotgun rounds.
Good idea.
are we suppose to be shocked and outraged by his news?
sounds like a bunch of people want toproet thei families to me
try getting a 30rd .223 magazine online..
Just talked to my local gun dealer about a stag arms model 8. still available with a 6-8 week weight. $1145 plus tax. I’ll put half down on Wednesday. I heard the local gun show was completely busier than ever and the gun store can barely keep up with business. Good job Democrats. LOL.
I'm not allowed to use one at the local State range.
Don't know how long the wait would be if I tried to buy a gun here in California right now. I just bought three of them last month (one of them hasn't been delivered yet) and feel like I could use several more.
But man, the cost is killing me and I don't like to be rushed in these things.
For instance, I think, but aren't 100% certain, I'd like to get a Springfield M1A. Don't know which flavor yet. OTOH, maybe it should be Fulton Armory's M-14 clone instead (if there is such a thing, I think there is).
Normally, it'd take me months to decide, maybe a year, while I studied up on the subject. But the liberal SOBs are definitely rushing me (it feels like it's now or never) and I don't like it one bit -- and neither does my wallet!
It's better than the Superman TV show special effects.
Plus the "Talent" rocked during the performance.
I live in South Orange County, CA.
I guess it wouldn’t reach Sacramento or D.C.
Should a million be sold, the message would go far beyond the device's immediate range.
Leftist extremists weep real tears.
It’s one of several. I thought it the best.
You should always remain true to the energy/vision. Rock ON!
