I'm in New England this week, and this afternoon caught Ann Coulter on the Howie Carr show. She spoke of the amazing ignorance of liberals when it comes to firearms. Just a couple of hours later, Chris Matthews provided a perfect case in point.
On this evening's Hardball, speaking with Illinois Dem Senator Dick Durbin, Matthews proposed that Congress "outlaw" semi-automatic weapons. Does he not realize that doing so would render illegal virtually every hunting rifle in production? View the video here.

It’s kind of hard to argue with irrational lunatics. Particularly ones who are just looking for the first excuse to rant about guns.

I can assure Mr. O’Reilly that there are plenty of AR-15 type rifles in the hands of criminals and felons, and that they are not going to register them with the FBI.

I wish he would take a course in statistics and learn that it is more dangerous for a child to have a home with a swimming pool than with a gun. Should we ban pools? Why does someone need a pool? You can certainly live without it. Take a damn shower instead and let the children live.

The odds are still better of getting struck by lightning then be shot at school. They don’t understand statistics - they are completely at the mercy of their childlike emotions. Yet they want to change the Constitution and take away rights - and still not guarantee safety.
I scoffed out loud when I heard Oreally say the AR-15 was a heavy weapon. Even my wife knows more than that and she doesn’t know anything about weapons of any kind.
