It’s a bad idea to expect with complete faith that we know who will obey these orders. It’s also a bad idea to expect to be massacred to the point that it causes a complete lack of all will to resist what some seem to have already decided is a lost cause. We don’t have very many options at this point, and need to try and make the best of a bad situation that is coming soon in one fashion or the other.
Besides importing elements of faith into an analysis, I also look at reality.
I’ve been around law enforcement long enough to know that most in that occupation are circumspect to die on a hilltop for the glory of obuma. The cops ran when confronted with mobs throwing bricks and bottles in the ‘92 LA riots. That’s reality. You may have examples of the opposite, but I can’t find any recent examples.
Will cops run around confiscating guns from sheep in liberal cities? Sure, that’s a possibility, but it takes organization, training and discipline to send a body of armed men into an unknown territory and carry out a dangerous operation like going house-to-house and confiscating arms. I’ve seen no evidence of discipline in the federal alphabet agencies. Qualifying once a year on the range is not discipline.
The most recent example we have of an officious jerk ordering his army out to murder citizens was in the Libyan civil war. I was doing contract work for an israeli company and had a good view of that. After Kaddhafi ordered the army to put down the rebellion, more than 70% of the army deserted, returning home to the provinces to protect their families and taking their weapons with them.
He then ordered his southern mercenaries out to start killing Libyans. A shooting of kids at a college enraged the population. The military deserters hooked up with the provincial militias and slaughtered the mercenaries. The general of the army and elite officers who followed Kaddhafi’s orders were hanged or shot in the streets.
That’s reality. Think what you want.

I hope you are correct. Everyone should be ready to fight together on our common agreements of liberty. No one should give up no matter what. We need to be prepared the best we can in every possible way, and work together to do what’s needed. We are at the point that we have to start blatant large scale defiance of any new unconstitutional gun control, and be willing to violently resist any force that tries imposing further tyranny upon us.
We must draw a line in the sand that comes before a massive gun confiscation, because they may be smart enough to put that off by using other unconstitutional laws and mandates to enforce their tyranny in what will be a more successful at disarming us. This cannot be helped within a broken system. We are living in a post Constitutional era, and we have to be willing to use our right to bear arms for the reason our founders gave it to us.
We have to accept that our Union can’t be saved, and we are being pushed into a corner making us very close to either choosing surrender, or civil conflict on some level. I hope liberals do try an attempt at mass gun confiscation to bring what’s coming, in some fashion regardless of what we do, and I’m ready for it to happen now. Second Amendment groups, Politicians, retired military, Sheriffs, and all those with influence in the media who support the Constitution need to start coming out much stronger about open defiance of this blatant tyranny while supporting our Constitution, and willing to do what our founding fathers told us to do it this situation if we must.
