In the immediate aftermath of Friday's terrible tragedy in Connecticut, there have been the predictable calls to enact new gun control legislation. The usual proponents of additional restrictions on guns have filled the airwaves with calls for immediate legislative action. Sen. Diane Feinstein has promised to introduce a new "assault weapons" ban on the first day of the new Congress next year. But, there are three very big reasons to believe that, for all the rhetoric, nothing will come of this new push for gun control.
1. Biden Gun Violence Task Force
This afternoon, President Obama convened a press conference announcing the formation of a blue-ribbon task force, chaired by VP Biden, to examine and recommend changes in our country's gun laws. Most pundits are greeting this news as a sign that Obama is serious

I think I should have said...they told us Obama would not be re-elected either.
I blame the GOPe for Obamacare anyway. If the NRCC hadn’t been so busy punishing conservatives who stepped out of line on TARP in 08, they might have held the house and stopped it.

I made the mistake of remaining in California when I retired. We will be facing another flurry of anti firearms laws this session.
Fortunately I saw it coming and I’m pretty well set up.
Anything that doesn’t comply with the new laws will be moved to a secure location. I will keep basic legal defense items here and bring the rest back if needed in case the SHTF.

This article isn’t taking into account all of the ways that the left can succeed in all future elections: more cheating/voter fraud, more actions by leftist activist judges, adding criminals and illegal immigrants to the total pro-leftist voter rolls; the ongoing increasing of voters who are “takers” over “givers”, the ongoing increase in total voter apathy, the ongoing increase in suppressing all non-leftist voters, the possibility of the left finding ways of canceling future elections,...
I’m sorry for everybody who wasn’t in a financial or legal position to arm up previous to this situation but I’ve got mine, adequate magazines and, let’s just say, some ammo. They have to find it to take it.
THERE is the bottom line.
These guys are playing for keeps. We must, too.
