Britain’s gene pool was severely depleted by the wars. From The Napoleonic Wars through World War II, most of the courageous men were killed off. The same can be said for France and Germany. So the world is stuck with the remainders. Our War of 1861 had a similar affect on the United States.
We had a great time since we looked older than teens of the same age in England so we ran the pubs like the idiots we were. I actually played guitar (just starting at 14) in some underground clubs in London’ Soho district. What a hoot. Woo Hoo!
