BATF was up for Congressional hearings in which it expected to make a case for more funding. It wanted to walk in with the media and nation patting it on the back for a job well done. It needed to find a threat, eliminate it, and bask in glory.

The BATF found a phony threat and executed 76 Americans without trial, all in the name of more funding.

Oh, and this is the same bureaucracy that gave us Fast and Furious.

Cut the cr@p. The BAFT didn't "execute" anyone.
