Natalie has some very poor information sources, little understanding of the God-given rights she is asking the government to take away, scant practice in critical thinking, and abysmal adult mentors. How can we tell her that, effectively? She is a danger to others, probably more so than Adam Lanza was if her wish comes true.

Cut her slack, sure -- lots -- but not for the manipulators who are seizing on pity for her and her anguished note to influence others to false conclusions that do not address the fundamental causes.
