The details of this tragedy are constantly changing. So I don't really know the circumstances as to how the son got a hold of the guns. I'm not ready to vilify Mrs. Lanza yet.

So how do you know she “allowed” him to have access?
He was 20 years old and could gain access to whatever he wanted 1 way or the other short of being locked in a cell somewhere.

Maybe she had the guns locked in a safe and this kid figured out the combination or how to open it - the shooter was considered a genius.
