If you are willing to move, there’s employment in the Oil & Gas Industry. And you don’t need experience in O&G to get a job. I moved from Chicago to West Texas a year ago at the age of 53.
Ancillary positions and associated growth in service industry in the big “shale” plays mean all sorts of jobs are coming open. Help Wanted signs populate the area and almost half are looking for “managers” (retail stores, service groups, healthcare).
What about IT - networking? - I am sick of NJ
Now that Obama is reelected, his handmaidens in the media don’ t have to slant the day to day details of his incompetence.They will now focus on whitewashing and sanitizing his legacy to the point where in 4 years they will recommend adding him to Mt. Rushmore. They will continue to beatify him and demonize the GOP in order to pave the way for Hillary.
The turnover for our company here in West Texas tracks about 8 months before the new IT guy gets lured away by some other concern.
If you like travel and actually earning a paycheck (AKA: longish hours), come on out.

VERY sorry about your job situation. My husband works at a coal fired plant and they will let us know next week if the plant is closing or staying open. On the bright side, the local liberals here will get to pay more for their electricity; just as b. hussein promised in 2008.
