I wonder how the Police Union feels about police officers being called “both irresponsible and dangerous”, by this individual?

The cadaverous Frank Lautenberg, Senator from New Jersey, said essentially the same thing. We need to howl that message long and loud when the next one happens, and make no mistake, there WILL be another one. Their blood is on the hands of everyone who denies the effectiveness of armed guards in schools.

Randi will start protecting students when they start paying union dues.

Liberal indoctrination and socialist brainwashing aside...what conservative who loves their children would entrust them to such fools?

They demand that children pay in blood to further a socialist agenda...abort the unborn, sacrifice the young, defile and indoctrinate the adolescent, enslave and endow with victimhood all that survive...and viciously attack any who refuse to be sheep.

There is no need for security to appear to be anything other than janitors or volunteer parent hall monitors, etc. I do agree wholeheartedly with the second half of your post.

Just about every inner city school has armed guards, cops even.

I’m confused - what does Gilbert Gottfried have to do with this discussion?

Within an hour of the incident, there were scores of guns all over Sandy Hook Elementary. It’s simple...do you want two retired police concealed carrying or 30 armed SWAT members looking for survivors?

I guess this means that the teachers’ union wants to trim the class size.

I kinda agree. I don’t want police or armed guards, I want retired police, military, and corrections officers to get part-time work one day a week for minimum wage helpoing out around the school. People from the local community.

Someone needs to ask them if an armed assailant intent on harming the children gets into the school, do they want to end up looking down at him lying in a puddle of his own blood, or looking up at him lying in a puddle of theirs.

We need the 2nd Amendment to protect us from an out of control Government.

Let’s hire 100,000 more Government agents and arm them.

Maybe we can just turn it over to the TSA.

Where was this C U next Tuesday when Pelosi recommended that armed National Guardsmen were deployed to each school to protect the kids? Silent because the Union supports only their kind, not the children.

Schools must be safe sanctuaries, not armed fortresses. Anyone who would suggest otherwise doesn’t understand that our public schools must first and foremost be places where teachers can safely educate and nurture our students.

This is a comment from the teachers union president who is telling all you parents out there that no matter what we will continue to keep things the same. The little old lady who’s retired sitting at the greeting desk when you arrive to put on your sticker with your name on it, Department store security guards watching game shows and eating, inadequate security systems if any. I dont know about you but I would rather have a nurturing atmosphere in light of this massacre than ARMED MEN WITH GUNS in and around the school to protect my baby. Wake the hell up parents!

You’ve had plenty of shootings in your home school? Ummm, care to expand on that?

We shoot targets and have annual field trips to shoot Elk and mule deer.

I don’t want police ... I want retired police...

That is a distinction without a difference. Any armed government agent is just that.

"Teachers union rejects NRA’s call for armed security in schools"

How about a clearer headline?

Public school teachers in favor of children being murdered

How things have changed. The AFT used to be the teachers union with common sense. Now they are just as irrational as the NEA.
