HOUSE REPUBLICANS CIRCULATE PLAN TO OUST BOEHNER FROM SPEAKERSHIP
Big Government ^ | 21 Dec 2012 | by Matthew Boyle

Several conservative House Republican members are contemplating a plan to unseat Speaker John Boehner from his position on January 3, Breitbart News has exclusively learned. Staffers have compiled a detailed action plan that, if executed, could make this a reality.

The Republicans, both conservatives and more establishment members alike, are emboldened after the failure of Boehner’s fiscal cliff “Plan B” on Thursday evening. Dissatisfaction with Boehner is growing in the House Republican conference, but until now there hasn’t been a clear path forward.

Those members and staffers requested anonymity from Breitbart News at this time to prevent retaliation from Boehner similar to what happened to those four members who were purged from their powerful committee assignments a few weeks ago. Their expressed concern is that if Boehner knew who they were, his adverse reaction toward them would be much more brutal than losing committee assignments, such as a primary challenge in 2014 by a leadership-sponsored candidate.

“It is still not possible for Pelosi to become Speaker even with 100 % of Democrats united behind her and a split GOP vote. The reason is to become Speaker it is not enough to win a plurality. One must win an absolute majority of all votes cast for an individual.”

True, but a few weeks ago a self-proclaimed conservativ leader was calling on Republican Representatives to abstain, thinking that if 15 or so abstained it would prevent Boehner from winning and force Republicans to nominate a new Speaker. But unless they vote for someone else instead of abstaining, Boener would be elected Speaker; and if 32+ abstained, Pelosi would be elected Speaker.

It would be easier to convince conservatives dissatisfied with Boehner to abstain than to vote for someone else (except for Paulistinians such as Amash, Bentivolio and Massie, who probably vote for their cult leader L. Ron Paul). So unless someone steps up and runs for Speaker, and can convince 15+ Republicans to vote for him, Boehner would be reelected Speaker. (And if some Democrats abstain instead of voting for Pelosi—think McIntyre and Matheson—then the insurgent Republican would need to peel off even more votes to prevent Boehner from winning.)

Na, as much as we may like her, I'd keep her away from that cesspool.

However, the recently unemployed Alan West with leadership skills, and a intimate knowledge of Stategies and Tactics would whip The sorry @$$ E-GOP House into shape...

If Boehner really cared about the country, he would resign. He would still have his cushy house seat and maybe we could get someone who would keep to conservative prinicples.

It could be Newt. The speaker does not need to be a representative.

Bachmann would be Obama’s worst nightmare.

She has vowed for two years to defund Obamacare and ran on that promise. Boner won't have it and has pronounced "Obamacare is the Law of the Land". Obamacare is the single piece of legislation that will give RATS more control over your lives than anything yet proposed or passed, perhaps outside of FDRs Socialism Security. Once Obamacare is fully implemented it will be as impossible to replace as SS is today.

If your Boehner lasts more than four hours, it’s time to see a doctor.

everyone in their life has negotiated a car salesman in their life

Well, that’s true for most normal people. The well-connected political elites probably walk into the showroom and get special treatment in exchange for access to them. I seriously doubt they ever really have to negotiate like the rest of us.

There’s one thing I’ve learned about negotiating over the years: In any deal, if the other party is smiling you got taken. The other thing is always be willing to walk away.

I’d certainly prefer Scott Walker to Boehner, I’m getting to where I would prefer about anyone to Boehner, Walker is like Newt and West not presently a House member, eligble but I don’t believe they would ever elect a non-member as Speaker.

If he is going to be ousted, it would happen behind closed doors in the Republican caucus, not on the floor.

That's one way to do it, however if you read Boyle's article carefully you'll see why it would never work that way. If it happens, the floor motion is how it will happen.
