Bill Ayers: The Left Must Utilize Its ‘Absolute Access’ to America’s Classrooms
The Blaze ^ | December 21, 2012 at 9:50pm | Jason Howerton

Bill Ayers, former domestic terrorist-turned university professor, reemerged earlier this month to explain how the Left’s access to schools and neighborhoods will help them shape the future of America. Speaking at a New York University “Change the Stakes” meeting on Dec. 4, he said the Left must utilize the existing “movements on the ground.”

In the video, obtained by EAGnews.org, Ayers also first blasts conservatives for portraying President Barack Obama as a “secret Muslim” and a “secret sociopath,” running around with “terrorists and Arabs.” He lamented the fact that many liberals felt like Obama was “winking” at them while he portrayed himself as a compromising moderate – but Obama ended up disappointing the far left, according to Ayers.

“The same people, and I’m sure some of us in this room, are saying, ‘But the second term he’ll be free,’” he said. “Forget about it. That’s not where change comes from.”

“If we want change to come, we would do well not to look at the sites of power we have no access to; the White House, the Congress, the Pentagon,” Ayers added. “We have absolute access to the community, the school, the neighborhood, the street, the classroom, the workplace, the shop, the farm.

Ayres better be careful he doesn't get what he wished for when he spoke many years ago.

If you recall as a radical he said:

”Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents, that’s where it’s really at”. - William Ayres

As of now, he is one of those OLD rich people.

I have told you time and time again that I fully support homeschooling. So much so that I have offered a number of you lists of students that you may take under your wing and demonstrate just how great your theories work. Sadly not a single one of you has had the Cajones to rise to the challenge.

What a joke. We don't need your lists of students to *try* homeschooling out on. We've seen the results of homeschooling in the success of our own children.

My family has done the standardized testing and I see them get in the 99% consistently.

I've watched my own kids get 1510 on the SAT or 33 - 34 on the ACT. And the one that took a GRE got a 1440 for grad school.

Testing theories??? Ridiculous. One on one education is ALWAYS superior to a classroom setting.

There's no theory to test and we already know the success of homeschooling. We don't need to *prove* it to anyone.

And opportunist you are, you took advantage of it yourself to attack homeschoolers and point out that kids are *safer* in public schools.

You are in no position to point fingers.

.Please document that I have ever once said that I despise, hate or in any other way have anything against homschooling. Or be pr oven a liar.

Your posting history is available to all.

And speaking of lying, your accusations against me upthread are more than enough to ensure that you will not be put back on the ARTH list.

I am confident that you will continue to find these threads without my help. Have fun because you will not be manipulating me into putting you back on the list.

Let me correct this lie. I took the opportunity to:

1) Point out your omission that the killer was homeschooled

2) Point out that you were engaging in tactics that should be beyond the pale of a Christian.

Let me also point out your won hypocrisy now. You are on at least one Catholic ping list and you despise the Catholic Church.

Why would you ever want to be on one of those?

Please remove me from your ping list.

For the remainder of this thread, I request that you not ping me or send private mail. You have my full permission to comment on any of my posts, including mentioning my name, but **please** no pings or private mail.

Respectfully,

Wintertime

So? The killer was also public schooled.

I know a kid who was homeschooled because the public school kicked him out.

So what if the killer was homeschooled for a while? Your dishonest portrayal that his homeschooling was somehow tied to the massacre is an attack on homeschooling.

2) Point out that you were engaging in tactics that should be beyond the pale of a Christian.

LOL! Chapter and verse?

Let me also point out your won hypocrisy now. You are on at least one Catholic ping list and you despise the Catholic Church. Why would you ever want to be on one of those?

I am not on any Catholic ping list. Try again.

You lied (projected) about my motivation for removing you from the ping list. It had nothing to do with the First Amendment nor fear of anyone. It was the simple fact that I am not enabling you to continue your attacks on homeschoolers.

Details, details......

Public education as it exists in this country today is a relatively recent phenomena and has yet to produce any fruit that can justify its continued existence.

At what point in history did children ever have their socialization limited to only other children their same age?

Now.....

You’re right. It’s a completely abnormal social situation.

Once again you have told a lie. I was not attacking homeschooling. I was defending the truth. You are the one projecting. Your attack on the public schools is a manifestation of that by intentionally neglecting to mention the fact that he was homeschooled. And the truth of the matter is that we don't know what caused him to kill, but your implication was and still is that it was due to his public education. If you have definite proof, then show it.

Nothing is extreme at all. But the bigoted attitude of several members of metmom's list are extreme. She and several others used the Newtown shooting to attack public schools. She is now having a hissy fit because a number of people including myself told her that they should all be ashamed of themselves. And for the record I teach at a public school.

Projecting again......

We all don't react like you.

There is no justification for keeping public education going. It's not necessary but rather is only a tool used by the left to indoctrinate as this article so clearly demonstrates.

Education actually occurring in public schools fell by the way side decades ago.

Since parental involvement is so necessary for a child's success in public schools, or rather for their lack of failure, it shows that it's not the public school which is responsible for their education but rather the parents.. Some children are succeeding in spite of public education, not because of it.

Those who parents are not involved in their education are the ones showing the true fruit of public education because they are depending on that solely. And failing miserably.

Bigoted? Extreme?

I’ve disagreed with metmom a few times but she’s neither of those.

When we started homeschooling we were amazed at the number of ex-teachers who homeschooled.

You can get a decent education at some public schools. The majority of kids get a better indoctrination then an education.

Teachers unions? Communist traitors, all of em.

I was amazed at the number of employed, teaching in public schools teachers who were homeschooling.

Matter of fact, the chapter leader for our homeschool support group was a teacher in one of the local districts.

They know the system.

And for the record I teach at a public school.

No surprise there...teachers like you are one of the very reasons I home school.

I don't really have a dog in this hunt, and haven't commented on a home school ping in months, if ever. You do a grave disservice to your argument by your comments and attitude.

Interesting. Does that mean we get to adopt them? Discipline them in the way that we do our own children? Will be be allowed to teach them prayer and a love for Christianity?

Homeschooling isn't just about education. It's a way of life. Comparing homeschooling, and it's results, to public education is not possible.

I have told you time and time again that I fully support homeschooling.

Perhaps. But, your very obvious disdain for those of us on FR who DO homeschool belies your assertion.

Do you really see us as a such threat to your job and the entrenched bureaucracy to which you belong?
