HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An intruder was fatally shot by an apartment complex resident near the Texas Southern University campus last night, say police.
It happened around 8:30pm on Wentworth and Ennis in Houston's Third Ward. Police say a man, who is a TSU student, was in an apartment complex with his girlfriend and two-year-old child when he heard a loud noise outside.
When he went to check it out, an armed man forced his way into the apartment.

The student deserves an award for cost-cutting for the taxpayers and maybe a small cash award.

TSU is on the “Black” university list. Odd how there isn’t a white university list.
I wouldn’t go into the third ward in broad daylight with a police escort.

I actually rode METRO through there to UH for four years back in the 90s. I also had to do a computer repair job at TSU once. I didn’t feel that unsafe there in the daytime. I wouldn’t want to walk around there much, though, especially at night.
