Greg Brown CEO of Schaumburg-based Motorola Solutions Inc., member of President Barack Obama's Management Advisory Board, deputy chairman of the Chicago Federal Reserve's board and Razr smartphone loyalist has a lot on his mind. In a chat with Crain's last week, he shared his thoughts on everything from demand for his company's public-safety radios and the global economy to hiking income taxes on the wealthy and doing business in Chicago and Illinois. Here's an edited transcript:

The rest of the companies on your list are home-grown in Illinois, so it might take more to get them to move. And there is not much left to Sears; they are more likely to fold than move.
“Never did understand why Boeing chose to move HQ to Chicago in the first place,”
The story around Dallas was that the wife of one of the senior execs liked the Chicago Opera.
And if pigs could fly, airline tickets would cost much, much less.
Pigs do fly, I’ve been stuck next to a few. I love getting a sweat stain on my outer thigh from a lazy blimp of a human being. And it’s not my sweat.
“Boeing Corporate”
Not in a million years. Those liberals LOVE Chicago.
Once upon a time, there was a CEO of General Electric named Harry Stonecipher. Harry was hired by a firm called Sundstrand in Rockford, IL to fix some government-contractor problems. After a tenure at Sundstrand as CEO, he moved to McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis, MO. Harry arranged the sale of M-D to Boeing in Seattle, was hired by them as a very senior VP, and eventually became CEO of Boeing in Seattle.
There was a problem: Harry's daughter lived in Chicago and he didn't like the long plane rides on the corporate jet. So, Harry persuaded the Boeing Board of Directors to move Boeing Corporate Headquarters from Renton, WA to Chicago, IL. There were other states that offered Boeing sweet deals, but Harry was dead set on Chicago and Harry got what he wanted.
When Harry hit 62, he reached mandatory retirement at Boeing and left as CEO, but not before choosing a successor. Harry got a very generous going away package (Golden Parachute) from Boeing. However, the hand picked successor did not work out. About 18 months later, the Boeing BoD asked Harry to come back as interim CEO until the Board could find a suitable replacement. He did.
Harry came back and was reinstalled in the saddle at Boeing in more ways than one. He began a torrid affair with a married female VP at least 20 years junior to him. This affair went on about two years until Mrs. Stonecipher caught Harry and his mistress. Mrs. Stonecipher filed for divorce and, eventually, got 50 percent of everything Harry owned including his Golden Parachute from Boeing. At 66, Harry tendered his resignation to the Boeing BoD (the divorce was just starting at the time), the female VP was fired and her husband divorced her, and Boeing Corporate remained in Chicago.
That is the rest of the story as I lived it.
Frickin' tree killer.
Just remember that this clown is an Obama butt monkey.
The Razr is a crappy phone and Motorola wouldn’t be selling all those “public safety” radiosif they hadnt bought politicians by the bushel basket full.
I seriously can’t wait for this State to implode.
