I gotta ask - you were at Vandenberg - Lompoc, Santa Maria, even SLO or Santa Barbara I can understand, but Los Gatos. How did you get from Lompoc to Los Gatos?
I passed through the San Francisco area a few times. Caught a free concert in Golden Gate Park with the Dead and Jefferson Starship on one trip. We had a remote site on the coast near Palo Alto as well. I had a car, a 50 Pontiac Silver Streak and had a lot of fun cruising the California coast in it!
