“It’s not a clip, It’s a magazine”

Thank You!! It’s like fingernails on a chalkboard every time I hear someone say this. An M-1 uses a clip. An M-14 uses a magazine. They look nothing alike, one is disposable & one is not, and yet even people who know the difference use the words interchangeably. Laziness maybe, I don’t know, but it sure makes them sound ignorant.

It aggravates me as well but i think the confusion comes from the use of stripper clips/chargers on older semi automatic rifles like my sks. the clip holds the ammo that you can literally slide 10 rounds into the magazine
