I agree with you in principle, but in this time of massive government spending (and the need to reduce such spending), I would recommend hanging — rope is cheaper and reusable.
I detest these election fraudsters at least as much as anyone here, including the high-tech operatives who hack optical scanners and touch screen machines.
But a death penalty is too extreme. Putting these perps in the can for a few years on a consistent basis should be enough to send an adequate message.
