This guy is the real deal. He’s no Tebow. He reminds me of Fran Tarkenton. The Seahawks are scary. They demolished SF last night and, in power rankings, SF was considered tops in the NFL.

No axe to grind here. I’m an Eagles fan.

They demolished the last 3 team they’ve played. The first one could have been considered a fluke, the second an accident, the third? Time to start paying attention.

I was going to ask if he attended Charlottesville High or even Western Albemarle, but from his bio, I see he went to a prep school in Richmond. UVA should have snagged him, but NC State always does a better job of recruiting in central VA. It’s always great to see a new generation of Christians rising to positions of leadership.

Amen brother. The question I would have, is who to replace Pelini with? I am still willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. After all, Osborne didn’t win his first national championship until late in his career. I agree talent wise, however, I also get a bit angry that we aren’t attracting top talent to Lincoln. But coaching is king. We must develop the talent we have, and we need great assistant coaches to do this. Actually, it’s kinda like the current conservative movement. We all want instant gratification, but it takes a long time. At times, that’s how the left has done it. Slow.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year fellow Husker. GO BIG RED!!!

Yep, Tarkenton was my first thought, particularly the way he keeps turning direction and giving ground to buy time.

Wilson actually reads defenses and completes passes. 150 points in 3 games. Yeah it’s just his rookie season, but so far he’s looking pretty darn good.

“men of God are pro-football atheletes...half the Packer’s team,”

That doesn’t mean Bears fans can’t hate them! ;>)

And they’d better beat Minnesota Sunday!

I can see how Tom O’Brien was fired from NC State. He actually him off the team. As a Spartan, too bad that happened and he ended up at Wisconsin.

Russell Wilson? Overcoming the odds?

Not many under 6 feet tall quarterbacks in the NFL.

If you haven’t watched Atlanta that’s how they have played all season, aside from 2 weeks ago when they blew the roof off of the Super Bowl champs. So to say they are “struggling” is not correct, they win and they win close games. Seattle will have to go on the road to get to the Super Bowl, no home field support.

If Seattle wins last game and 49ers lose, they would play a home game if they meet the 9ers.

There was Doug Flutie and Jerry Rhome (QB at my HS); and probably Tarkington and Theisman.

I believe I heard one of the guys calling the Seattle/SF game say that Wilson had told someone questioning his height that if he was 6’4” he still wouldn’t be able to see over the defensive linemen and linebackers who are 6’7 or 6’8”. I thought that was a great retort by Wilson.

probably Tarkington and Theisman.

Tarkenton was listed as 6'0 or 6'1, Rhome 6'0 and Theismann 6'0. Like I stated, not many under 6' tall NFL QBs.
