W.H. Petition: 'Press Charges Against David Gregory' for Breaking D.C. Gun Laws
Weekly Standard ^ | December 20, 2012 | DANIEL HALPER

Posted on 12/25/2012 1:14:21 PM PST by grundle

A petition on the White House's website calls for charges to be filed against David Gregory for breaking Washington, D.C.'s gun laws. "Press charges against David Gregory for possession of a 30-round, high capacity assault rifle magazine in Washington D.C," reads the title of the petition:

"David Gregory is not above the law; he is a journalist, and must be held accountable to the same law as every other person," reads the petition, referring to the most recent episode of Meet the Press when Gregory held up what he said was an ammunition clip for an AR-15.

The petition continues:

DC High Capacity Ammunition Magazines – D.C. Official Code 7-2506.01

(b) No person in the District shall possess, sell, or transfer any large capacity ammunition feeding device regardless of whether the device is attached to a firearm. For the purposes of this subsection, the term large capacity ammunition feeding device means a magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device that has a capacity of, or that can be readily restored or converted to accept, more than 10 rounds of ammunition.

We The People demand that he be formally charged for violation of this law on "Meet The Press."

Currently, 5,612 people have signed the petition; only 19,388 more signatures are needed for the White House to respond.

Why would conservatives petition for enforcement of an unconstitutional law?

They won’t do it. He could have held up a fully loaded AK47 and the cops would say it’s only journalistic reporting.

Why would conservatives participate in this regime’s “placate the masses” style mind-screw?

To: grundle; All

Actually they will need more like 30 to 40 thousand signatures because of duplicates, ineligibles, incomplete, or illegibles.

How many could have been killed by Gregory’s irresponsible action??? Do you have any conceivable idea how many people could have been massacred by that one 30 round mag? I’ll bet hundreds could have been killed by Gregory’s 30 round mag!

Don’t you know, just like this administration, the msm is exempt from any and all laws and regulations.

That magazine has already left D.C. and NBC can’t find the toy magazine they used.

That Dork wad Urinalist DANIEL HALPER doesn't know the difference between an ammo clip and a ammo magazine.

He put the entire TV staff at risk and basically everyone in the building was threatened. That's what I've been told, anyway...

Maybe he was on the air drunk.. again. I remember it. IIRC he was in Iraq and was supposed to do a news report.

David Gregory drunk calling in to the Imus morning program Lots of other accounts of this.

Charge him with DWI. Drunk while interviewed.

He could’ve sprayed the crew with hundreds of thousands of cartridges./s

And, you know, none of them would’ve had the capacity (either mentally or weaponry-wise) to defend themselves.

Why? Because they merrily enforce it against all of us,,,it is asking that the leftish journalists live under the same rules we must.

“David Gregory is not above the law; he is a journalist, and must be held accountable to the same law as every other person,”....

***
A silly person wrote this petition. Everyone else knows that the laws apply to us peasants only and don’t apply to important people like Gregory.

The arrogant leftist elites always consider themselves above the law, and above ethics and morality. They feel the righteousness of their beliefs excuses any conduct. Gregory is just a product of his hypocritical and pious culture.
