Most all laws (and we all have got plenty more than enough) are only selectively enforced.
(That's one reason why prosecutors now have a very bad rep.)
The way I see it, they have created a vast surplus of laws. I'm probably breaking 3 or 4 right now, just sitting here. If they wanted to get rid of me, they would just "discover" my various infringements, and then I'd be in a world of hurt. Alternatively, if you are a "Somebody" (like Obama's aunt) then you can get away with just about anything -- they are prepared to look the other way.
There is no justice in this land.
