Thank you, I have never been more Proud to own a Gun than my Henry.

It is so nice I fact I almost hate taking it shooting, out of Fear that I may Damage it.

They are THAT nice.

I had never heard of Henry Repeating Arms until I was researching Made in USA products.

I know their facility was badly Damaged during Hurricane Sandy, but once it is up are running again I have no doubt that in this current climate Henry Rifles (and all American Gun Manufactures) are going to make an absolute MINT.

My Dream. (FYI that Quaility does NOT come cheap)

bought some gifts, but mostly gave money.....

gifts are over rated...most people have everything they want or need, and have little room for anything else....

I'm tired of cluttered closets and every cupboard packed full of "contraptions" for cooking or baking....want a simpler life....

...”duh - nobody has any money, what did they think was gunna happen?”...

My thoughts exactly..People seem to be taking whatever money they have to eat out. That has to stop, too, at some point. Soup kitchens will then have to feed people too lazy to cook at home.

...”I’ll be unemployed no later than the end of next month. I wish you well. Contractor employee here as well”...

We have some very smart, experienced, computer engineers who are unemployed in our town..The company they worked for no longer will make printers. One has interviewed all over the country without success..He is in his early 50s and says it looks like companies are hiring new college graduates rather than experienced people like him..He has a family to support and this is tough..These are good people, though they were Obama voters. I do not know whether they still are fans...

Sounds like a very sensible family to me.

...”Well of course. I’m weary of hearing how supposedly inept Obama is. He is succeeding quite well, alas, in “transforming America” into an impoverished third or 4th world tin-pot dictatorship”...

Sadly, you are so right..Americans are the most adept people in the world at denial. Last night, I had the pleasure of hearing a 12 year old ask more questions of a history major at the dinner table than our propaganda press has asked in years, because this kid had logic. She began at WWI and continued through history to this very day..Her interest was recently piqued at school and she does not have time enough with her history teacher there to satisfy her hunger to know..I suspect she is one-in-a-million, but she is out here..I hope there are a few more like her.

There are more like her, but they are often weeded out as they grow up, and certainly do not show up anymore in certain places where they would previously have been expected to be dominant... such as the White House Press corps or the judiciary

I'm thinking that could be me in a few months, though I no longer have a family to support; they are all out on their own. I got two degrees, 3 certifications, years of experience, yet the young and inexperienced get all the job offers.

Thank God I still got a job and can shuffle and file reports with the best of them, but I'm not being paid what I'm worth (the federal service won't even bump up my pay grade by one slot), and all the good jobs in my section go to those who are the boss's cronies and can give the boss good (REDACTED)s.

Nepotism and Cronyism run rampant in the federal service.

So you are admitting that you are just spouting rhetoric and offering no solutions. I figured as much.

Make and buy things made in America.

I thoroughly understand Americans’ reluctance to support unions, but a bigger problem has arisen.

While unions are shrinking, and only 12% or so of our employees belong to unions...

China is taking our industry.

Bigtime. China is already making more than America.

Already.

They are building on strength, while we argue and oppose each other.

Frittering away our strength.

Buy American.

You offer no solutions, so that leaves you with complaints and rhetoric.

We have the highest corp tax rates in the industrialized world. We have an out of control EPA (and other regs) that is about to get exponentially worse. If we want to produce more in the US, then we must address these issues. If not, more producers will relocate.

Your solution is to “buy American” and nothing more. That is a demand side solution. In other words you prefer demand side economics, which has failed every time it is tried.

I prefer to fix the supply side and breakdown the barriers harming the producers.
