Liberals have lost nothing. Ask any liberal and they’ll tell you. The Kenyan will rid us of the “evil of guns” via EO with a cooperative congress and senate so let’s just try and be real about this!
I don’t think they have lost the narrative at all.
Maybe in DC with a Republican House.... not around her in the deep blue states...NY which, believe it or not, is not bad when it comes to long guns, is ripe now for new regulations up to and including confiscation.

The Left accomplished one thing: an all-time record sale of guns, particularly “assault weapons.” There is a waiting list a mile long at most gun dealers of sales that are pending because of a lack of supply.
The gun dealers of America thank you, you panty-wetting dim wits.
When NRA membership rises 8000 a day in a recession when money is tight, gun shows packed, sales soaring, elected officials take notice. Smartest thing NRA did was expand gun interest to women. More women are arming and owning guns. It is no longer men vs women, it is about security from criminals and madmen vs relying on cops to save you. In a tough economy, people are more fearful. It is ironic, the same factor, fear that drove people to vote for Obama is the same factor that will prevent gun control.
Most likely scenario is a reinstatement of the assault weapon ban, outlaw magazines > 10, and close the so-called “gun show” loophole. They will not confiscate guns at the national level.
Remember, liberals are cynical.
Goal No. 1: Use ‘assault weapons’ as a scare tactic/wedge issue in races where it helps them.
Goal No. 2: Real gun control.
Right now they are concentrating on No. 1...and laying the groundwork for the long game, for goal no. 2.
Shelves empty of guns and ammo and 2 hour wait lists at gun ranges pretty much tell the tale...
I’m not sure “stand-down” articles like this are believable. It would be like this administration to force its way toward gun control, even if everything in the article were true. The enemy is not to be trusted to be predictable.
The RNC should be out there beating liberal politicians over the head with this instead of trying to find a middle ground, but the RNC is run by RINOs.
It is not what Obama and his crowd of fawning demons do in public view that bothers me, it is what he does behind the scenes that is so damaging. I would not break into the “home run trot” just yet. They will keep trying.
I think the tide is turning in our favor. Per local law any building owner may prohibit bringing firearms into the building by posting a notice . In my office such a notice has been affixed to the entrances for years. The building manager was asked a day after the Newtown murders if he would consider taking it down. They were removed this week.
Here’s how we win:
Do what I did Saturday. I took two teacher friends out and shot guns with them. We shot several guns (that I unfortunately lost later after they fell out of a canoe) and the two friends genuinely had a good time breaking bottles and shooting scope. They are now interested in purchasing (and loving) their own set of guns.
If each of us did that, we will win.
I saw a pic on FB with the armed guards at Baraq’s kids school. Quite effective!!
1.Tax cuts? We can't afford them. (we've given in to the idea that the gov't owns all our money)
2. Abortion? Clearly consequence free promiscuity is more important to American woman than is the life of any baby they concieve.
3.Gay 'Rights'? In today's world the good guys fight for gay marriage while the evil old hateful rightwingers oppose them.
4. The American Work Ethic? For chumps only!
5. Living on the Dole. Every American's right!
6. Founding Fathers? Racist, sexist, slave owners.
And on and on and on. The liberals foist one perversion of our culture after another on us and call it normal and good, while those of us who dare say otherwise are pushed off the stage as racist bigots. Music, television and the movies offer debased and depraved 'entertainment' that the masses slurp up like pigs at a trough.
We're living in a world that calls good evil and evil good. And it gets worse every day.
Early Christmas morning two Binghamton police officers were responding to check on two suspicious men...as they approached the men fired on them...one officer was shot, one bad guy was shot dead. Officer was treated and released. If I want a gun, I should have the right to protect myself from the crazies in this world. By the time police officers could arrive on the scene, I would be dead.

Since Newtown, four friends have asked to attend my training class so they can get their LTCs. One is a mom of small kids who told me, “I don’t want to be unable to defend my kids.” Another lives in Boston and walks his dog late at night. I told him that the brain-dead, gun-grabbing Menino would probably deny him an LTC but, as the owner of a large business, he wants to be able to apply for one.
