MOSCOW, Dec 25 (Reuters) - Two gunmen shot dead a ruling party official on Tuesday in Russia's North Caucasus, where the Kremlin is fighting to subdue an Islamist insurgency, investigators said.
Unknown assailants burst into Boris Zherukov's office in Nalchik, capital of the province of Kabardino-Balkaria, and shot him twice in the head, Russia's Investigative Committee said in a statement.
Zherukov was head of President Vladimir Putin's ruling United Russia party faction in the local parliament. He was also rector of the local State Agricultural University.
Insurgents fighting to carve an Islamic state out of a patchwork of mainly Muslim regions in Russia's mountainous south stage near-daily shootings and bomb attacks targeting officials and police.

Hope that Russia (Putin) goes after these B _ _ _ds and teach them that they are not going to rule the world.
Putin clearly stated in his speech to the Russian nation that he would not tolerate any enclaves to have any form of foreign rule over Russian law.
Those koranimals may have given him the green light he was looking for in order to properly cleanse those infected areas.
This may not work out so well for the local Moos, their families and friends.

Officials could not confirm whether or not the perpetrators were Caucasian ....
I never though I would see the day when I would say that the Russians know how to do things better than we do. That I would trust Pravda more than I trust the New York Slimes. That the Russians would be giving us better advice than our own President. Just sad.
